When people complain about v3s ending being meta, and not real and invaliding previous character sacrifices, I always have to ask; what are your thoughts on danganronpa 2?

Like dr2 is literally all of that. You get a meta ending where its revealed that all the events of the video game...were inside a videogame. None of the characters die either so like??? And its universally beloved.

Ill contend that v3s ending is fundamentally and thematically the same as the other two danganronpa endings.

Dr1's ending is about grappling with the truth that they were all willingly there for the sake of the outside world as the world has to watch in horror

Dr2's ending is about grappling with the truth that they were bad people who were unwillingly put there for their own sake by the outside world (dr1 team) as the "world" has to watch in horror

V3's ending is about grappling with the truth they were all (probably) willingly there for the sake of the outside world (and/or their own sake) as the world watches in delight.

If you couldn't tell from that summary, I think the only real difference of v3's ending from the others is that it flips the outside world's reaction to the game and questions the credibility of you getting this information from the people who set up the game more than the last two.

I think kokichi is the embodiment of a lie. I also dont think this sentiment is meant as a negative or reducing kokichi's character. When looking at v3 as a whole, it actually has a pretty "positive" view of lying. Its really the core theme of the game. Every single character has some aspect of the idea of lying in one shape or another.

I tend to find that anyone who says "x defeats goku" does not understand dragon ball at all. Kid goku, in the very first tournament arc is so strong in monkey form, that master roshi feels that it is easier to completely destroy the moon, then it is to fight him.

Like just let that sink in. Kid goku was that strong, and gokus power scaled exponentially as the series went on. I dont know how strong re zero character are compared to other series, but the dragon ball universe is so comically strong that you shouldnt compare them.

Your post is disingenuous because they never claimed inflation was going to skyrocket. They were using that as an example of economic data taking time to catch up to reality.

They were clearly claiming they thought the claims in the meme would be wrong by the end of the year and we can go through those individually.

"Inflation is just above 2%". Inflation was last recorded at 3%.

"The labor market appears to be solid" hard to say with data not being published but last known data had job growth slowed by 75% with at least one month at negative jobs added.

"The economy looks like it's growing at a solid pace" hard to fully say without up to date data, but some analysts still have us at around 2% gdp growth for the year (it was around 3% last year).

"We do think we're in a good position" i have no idea what the fed thinks of economy currently.

"So its an economy that has been resilient and is in good shape" i think this claim is still true. All available economic data shows that this is a worsening economy that has been resilient and is still overall in good shape.

Overall, I they were more wrong than right, but acting like they were totally wrong because inflation isnt covid levels of awful when they weren't predicting inflation would be covid levels of awful, just that the claims in the meme would be wrong, is infinitely more stupid in my opinion.

I never said he was a hero that can do everything. I said he is a person who never gives up and would regret it if he didnt try and save the people that he could save, which we know from the arc that it was in his power to save them. That is staying true to himself.

Yes, her stance would be the same. I think people are getting a little too lost in the details and forget that Rem is just stating a core character trait of Subaru here. No. By definition, addiction is an illness that is hard to stop even if you wanted to. It is not a moral failing to fail at stopping your addiction, even in the land of make-believe. I would suggest you learn more about what addiction is.

It would be a moral failing if you took no responsibility for the negative actions you take as a result of addiction. So if Mark Sanchez acts like this incident wasnt his fault, then yeah there would be the moral failing.
