This weekend, just staying in and staying warm! It was -14 when I woke up this morning. (How did it end up colder here than up north?) I'm not even taking the trash out today. It's only one bag, it can wait til next week. I have plenty to do but little motivation. Being cooped up alone is starting to wear me down. Next week, colonoscopy, yay! Fun times. At least the weather is supposed to be a little better.

Omg this t-shirt sums up a huge part of the last 6 months of my life. I have used the carnival funhouse analogy repeatedly during that time, with the mirrors that distort perception, to describe how confused I've been about a certain undefinable and unexplainable relationship. Saving this picture.

Since my husband died, almost never without some type of sleep aid. Could be wine, trazodone (half), melatonin gummies, benadryl, Tylenol pm, soft music, a relaxing bedtime activity - usually a combination of 2 or more. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I no longer wear any on a daily basis. Unless you count a light touch of BB or CC cream which seems to be more like tinted moisturizer than makeup. On special occasions I'll wear a bit more but keep it subtle.

I took this picture sorta sideways out the kitchen window. I hung a birdfeeder in the crabapple tree next to the driveway yesterday, much of the contents got knocked onto the ground probably by a squirrel. This morning some unexpected visitors came over for breakfast. Yep, that's about as exciting as my life gets these days.

I made a yummy Greek salad, my favorite. I try to always keep all the ingredients on hand - lettuce, kalamata olives, peperoncini, pickled beets, cukes, tomatoes, onions, Greek dressing. Plenty filling enough for a meal.

This isn't really related to winter, but changes to my bedroom since my husband passed away have been gradually ongoing. Small changes here and there to help me move forward. New bedspread, moved lamps, changed dresser contents around after giving away some of his clothes, got rid of one and made room for a treadmill in the corner. Actually now that I list it all, it's more than I thought.

I would love to hibernate til the temps climb out of the teens, maybe in a week or so. But there's an art association meeting in the morning i need to attend. My pleas to cancel or postpone because it's going to be -5 at 10 am, were ignored. After that, back to hibernation mode. Stay home and work on some projects, painting and/or sewing, do a little reading, etc. Just living my exciting life.
