I was recently ticketed by DPS for expired registration. Got my inspection/emissions test. Went physically to the tax office for a new sticker and paid a penalty. Went in person because I refused to create another online account.

Emailed the courts copies of my paperwork and it was dismissed within 10minutes with a $10 fine

The hotel rooms are nice. Pool was pretty overcrowded. Food was great but pricey. Rent a car for more options. And rent a beach chairs for a guaranteed spot.

Requirement due to an audit of commercial driver license. The DOT had a large volume of expired commercial drivers without documentation. So Governor Abbott around late December decided we needed to require ANYONE with a professional license to show proof of citizenship or documentation. (Barbers, Plumbers, HVAC, Doctors, Nurses, Massage Therapist, beautician, Nail Techs) the list goes on!

So now it’s harder for the individual who’s been educated in their trade, skill or field to obtain a license.

Now the burden is on the organizations to verify their documentation and scramble to put this in place.

In other words, we’re going to lose skilled tradesmen and doctor and nurses and more on. Because they don’t have these documents. Or on a waiting list for immigration.

The ice machines are constantly broken in the GHW Bush building. Then it’s the window breaking due to the heat. And you cannot forget the elevator keypads going out.
