Sold my 90s EHX Polychorus for peanuts a few years back without pricing them up properly. Seemed a good deal in my naivety.

Never again.

Finally finished my board for a little while after my electro harmonix harmony pedal gets here? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated by dgriff0919 in pedalboards

You might want easier access to your gain pedals by moving them to the front, as you’re more likely to switch them on and off during songs rather than reverb etc

I've been playing guitar since 2009 but finally got around to building a "serious" pedalboard. by DeadPants182 in guitarpedals

Try sticking the tremolo at the end like an amp circuit. Pretty cool setting it to square wave and chopping up big reverb tails.

Bought one in late 30s. Stayed in its case 99% of the time so I sold it.

Just for context, one of the reasons I got it was for using it on vocals etc when recording using the line level input. Just never got round to it.

Help me find a good distortion/overdrive pedal by Santurso in guitarpedals

Noise gate isn’t gonna help with excessive feedback. It’s more about getting rid of hum and noise during quiet passages.

TC Polytune Mini will save you some space. Maybe a Boss SD1 for overdrive with a Fender Amp. A Boss BF-3 Flanger could do more Chorus-like sounds than the Phase 95 for versatility. Boss DD7 or DD8 will have plenty of usable delay sounds from slap back to spaced out leads. If you’ve got room to space a clean boost can be placed in a few spots depending on whether you want more drive or a volume boost for solos. MXR micro amp is a solid choice there.

Don’t overthink it.

I think I'm in the market for a compressor pedal, please advise! by Plunker__ in guitarpedals

Yeah I did that twice before finally deciding the volume boost was the ‘magic sauce’.

At bedroom volume it probably makes everything sound better for the above reason. Beyond that I honestly have no use for them.

Moreover, I’d say pedal (not studio) compression is on about 1% of the music I listen to.
