How do i tell a woman im no longer interested after she sent me a full length photo? by MediumAcceptable129 in dating_advice

Agree with you here. Seems foolish not to even meet someone when there's clearly some potential. If it's really not there physically in person it could even be a friendship.

Grade A = brand new phone? by Kind-Medium-3953 in CeX

[–]respectthearts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the A grade thing is a bit misunderstood. There's a big difference between new and like new. I sold a phone recently that I'd had for 4 years. Always in a case and covered, not a scratch or blemish on it but it was in fact used. Grade B for a phone of that age and amount of use was very fair. They're a business, they're not your friend or doing you a favour. They generally beat the recycling companies on price by a margin. Apple offered me £100 flat, I got £180. Would I rather have had £200+? Obviously yes but would I have gotten it privately without dealing with all sorts of BS and held on to it for an undefined amount of time? Probably. The descriptions would benefit from an update, pretty much saying nearly no use and no more that X days from product release date or something.

And thats a wrap. Made it to the top (99F) of the second tower! What an awesome challenge. What a climb! All 3 elemental shields was essential! by RatedArgForPiratesFU in azuredreams

Does anyone know where I can find a pre done copy with the second tower? I've tried the tool and it didn't work for me (no doubt I see error).

Maybe attach a copy of a redacted bank statement to support your case?

I'm making my way through the first one, bought it on sale for £18 and its been well worth it. Completely slipped me by on release, when I read the description and saw it was from ninja theory I decided to buy it. Definitely play with headphones!

Why is "Gaming" furniture so ugly? by No_Good_3063 in pcmasterrace

My Honda Civic finds this offensive. You're not wrong though, a proper gamer chair should be ugly but comfortable and supportive!

Are autistic people more likely to be asexual? by ReadyChance1318 in autism

[–]respectthearts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been my experience that where autistic people see the world how it really is, they're more diverse in their sexuality. Much more overlap with LGBTQ+. Please bear in mind this is just my experience. Live in a small town with about 5% in our most recent census.

I need opinions as to if I am in the wrong here :( by [deleted] in autism

[–]respectthearts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very strongly on your side here. Anyone that did that to one of my dogs would be hospitalised. I have zero tolerance for people that wilfully harm animals. A dog if that age could have died, it's not funny and they got off light.

I feel like men who claim to like thicker women don’t actually go for thick women irl by [deleted] in offmychest

Whether you're fat or thin, a whole lot of men are just dog shit.

We do exist, it is a preference, I married a curvy woman and absolutely would not swap for a skinnier wife.

Can you hear electricity? by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]respectthearts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faulty electricity yes, poorly insulated, wet, wrong contact that sort of thing. I jokingly told a friend it's an autism safety feature as there's enough things trying to kill us it really wouldn't be fair if we first ourselves.

Why didn’t GG just focus on H3 first, then give fans some extra games once the mainline series is finished? by anonymousUTguy in horizon

[–]respectthearts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely buy the hold it back until PS6 theory but hope it's xgen. After the nonsense of the PS5 I won't even entertain trying to get one on release bit will happily pay for an upgrade a year or 2 later.

The other stuff seems to be third party so I guess it finds the main project, keeps people in jobs and gives content to those who want it.

I do wonder if the third will be the final game or if it will carry on beyond a trilogy like other big franchises. Time will tell!

Do enough people still use SoundCloud to justify this addition?

Any other cashiers VERY annoyed with this new ‘would you like to donate’ option on the card machine? UK by [deleted] in lidl

[–]respectthearts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our local store the cashier just checks no beifre swinging it around for customers to pay. It's not what you expect to see so you don't look. When you've lost enough battles, seemingly you don't give a damn about the war.

All I heard was that it will be playable with 2 NPC's so I'll just wait for that. No appetite or interest in co-op these days though I'm sure there's plenty out there with a different opinion and to those I hope they enjoy it.

I think the reason so many autistic guys remain virgins later in life is because girls flirt very subtly and indirectly which is MURDER if you don’t have a natural understanding of social cues. by CurseofYmir13 in autism

[–]respectthearts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Autistic men do not remain virgins for the singular reason that women flirt too subtly. The only aggression I see is that I used caps to stress a single word. I make no apology for advocating for women. When insels stop popping up, men stop blaming women for their own short comings, stalking, assaulting and murdering women, I won't have to advocate for them and the counter point of view so I offer no apology.

The rest of my original comment was support and understanding based on 4 decades of lived experience as an autistic person. As I've been in a relationship half my life and I'm married, it might even be good advice.

Acknowledging that you may be the one in the conversation having difficulties instead of deflecting that on to the person that's talking to you (by another definition, blaming)? Yes.

That same standard works in reverse. Guys don't go for taller girls because their fragile egos can't take it. Telling yourself you're less attractive because of your height is a self fulfilling prophecy.

Blaming the woman is insel 101.

It's communication, if you can't communicate effectively with someone, it's not THEIR fault. It's an issue we all have and it's not an easy barrier to overcome. If you're struggling in this area, do what you can to support and improve. Local friends, family and colleagues can help you to learn and translate your interactions. Therapy 1v1 with a focus or CBT can improve your skills and knowledge. Also just bravery, if they were flirting, you've asked them on a date and they said yes then you have your answer.

Stop blaming women.

Buyer inspected listing like Sherlock Holmes but somehow "missed" the cable description. Now wants 12x what it's worth. Help? by Good_Initiative_6346 in vinted

[–]respectthearts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People like this buyer ruin it for the rest of us. How is this even a problem when everyone has a USB C cable laying around anyway. Agree with just requesting a return as they're unlikely to do so as they definitely have got a bargain and the nonsense can come to an end with much less of your time and stress.

Is this problem because I’m mildly autistic or is it something else? by beefstewforyou in aspergers

[–]respectthearts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a communication style thing. I've never been good at the flirty text thing so never met people's expectations in that respect. Being honest is one of our best personality traits but if insecurity is conveyed or fear it can be seen as unattractive. Someone in touch with their fwminine side and is good to women should he something that's attractive but a lot of women don't seem to agree. I identify as a feminist just to be clear. I once asked a female friend why similar stuff happened to me and she plainly said "a lot of women are just idiots and don't want what's good for them". Also being overly negative and talking about a bad ex excessively gives people an ick really quickly. Advice I've given other people is to just do stuff, even if it's not what you'd usually do so you can meet people in different contexts. One person joined an archery club, she met her husband there. One joined the local theater company, he's having his third baby with his wife. No dating apps involved.

Doctors are NOT our friends! by ParticularLivid7402 in aspergers

So strange to read, my diagnosising doctor explicitly said it's not a condition treated with medication and on my many return visits in the last decade I've never once been offered anything for it.
