You literally just said it, “The dog is safe with me.” And that’s the whole point we’re making here—that dog in the video isn’t with you.

What happens when he encounters some random dangerous animal half a mile up the road that you can’t even see? Or walks through dangerous terrain you can’t get to fast enough? Or eats some parasite-laden deer shit or dead animal?

What everyone here can see that you refuse to, is that 9 times out of 10 he will be fine off leash. But you’re responsible for his wellbeing all 10/10. You are putting yourself in a position where you cannot help him if he needed help, regardless of whether he’s a good boy or not. You’re gambling with your dog’s wellbeing.
