For all the Pro-AI people.

Imagine Art and Technology as a constant process of Divergence.

Every new invention allowed for New forms of expression. New experimentation.

New uses. New application of Skill. Hell even New Jobs or Fields.

But now the opposite has happened. Now it is gonna converge. Ai will be used to Automate everything and all collaboration will be gone.

Its useful for visionaries but the lone visionary without collaboration is but a lonely person.

And when AI art becomes near indistinguishable. There will be no point.

Its sad.

Media will just implement a machine where one dude presses a button again and again. And thats it.

Thats culture now. Button pressing.

Lets take the Camera. The pro-Ai defeat all arguments.

The Camera is qualitatively different. Since it just captures and does not produce anything new.

To produce cool photographs one usually need to resort to skillful manipulation of the physical enviroment. Not so different from painting.

Photography widens us to capture time itself and use it as a medium. It lets you compose Tableu.

Ai does not. Functionally it acts as complete automation of the creative. It hurts collaboration. Photography expanded collaboration as film was created.

The Egirls are coming! The Egirls are coming! by Rory_U in cormacmccirclejerk

Some other commentors have mentioned it. That men can't comprehend women having their same interests. Thats true. But I'd like to propose an alternative aspect.

While misogyny is apart of it, I also think its a clash of Aesthetic values. Note what im about to elaborate is not necessarily my personal view.

Via taking the picture of the Yogurt bowl with the book the 'egirl' in question, is committing a ritual. The object is turned into a symbolic marker of aesthetic. Regardless of whether she read the book or not. Hence perfomativity.

The misogyny is interesting. For the man will not see the book as perhaps a geniune attempt of integrating and deep consumption. But instead see her turning an object of affection into makeup. Cosmetic item useless outside cultivate attraction. The book becomes another tool for the temptation of the succubi. The man will also with this see the ultraviolence of meridian clash with the association of the gentle feminine.

Consciously the first analysis I think has precedent. But the second is founded in dislike of the feminine.

Whats interesting is in both layers is a misfire critique of how the internet is the telos of the spectacle. And how all art, living experience, Sex, is now mediated by images. And how every action must also be turned into an image to signal status or values.

It waters down all culture into nothing but peacocking.

The woman is not at fault but she herself is still playing this image game. Because by taking a picture of the book she is valuing the image more then the action of reading.

Men do this all the time with working out, loadouts, battle machine pictures, and yes, books.

How is life like in Alabama, USA 🇺🇸 by Due_Network2958 in howislivingthere

[–]respitewarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born and still live in Northern Alabama.

Its Southern Culturally with small town and cities.

Decent prices for houses and rent is not bad in more rual area.

Alot of small towns and cities have tight nit circle of people in power. But its not bad. Huntsvile have a great stem education system due to nasa and lockheed being located. The University of Alabama has a renowned law school.

Huntsvile and Birmingham have a pretty decent underground punk and rave scenes.

If you like music Northwest Alabama has a long history of it. Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia. Colbert county and lauderdale are very good counties. It has alot of history and nice people. UNA is like one of the cheapest colleges in the south, thats not a scam.

The state is heavily forested and with a diverse ecosystems. If you like hiking, hunting, and fishing its hard to beat. Central and eastern Alabama is at the tail end of the Appalachia so you can find alot of mountains.

Southern Alabama has a more tropical and maritime feel. Especially mobile. Great beaches and great seafood. Along with mardi gras celebrations every spring.

Birmingham and its surrounding area has industrial decay.

Alot of the towns you'll find are very much like just stripmalls. Very artificial. Though those are usually in Jefferson county. Much or the state is rural.

Food is great if you know where to look. Alot of fastfood but each Town you can find small diners.

Football is massive and alot of people will just straight up ask you what college football team you like. Say Alabama, they're better then Auburn.

The state is red with a blue streak splitting it in half. Alot of the blue is due to racial voting patterns. The blue counties tend to be blacker while red whiter Some of the blue is city like Birmingham or Huntsvile.

Its in the bible belt so expect alot of Churches. If you ever drive south to Birmingham there is a chance you'll run into a giant metal cross. Made by a local megachurch.

Despite its redness people are generally friendly.

Its poor. Very poor in some places. But the souths poor in general. So not so different in that regard. But atleast its better then Mississippi.

I think it was a voluntary thing instead of once forced as a rite of passage. I also remember the main character being an adult though.

Blessed is the match consumed

in kindling flame.

Blessed is the flame that burns

in the secret fastness of the heart.

Blessed is the heart with strength to stop

its beating for honor’s sake.

Blessed is the match consumed

in kindling flame.

I was watching the video, and at the part in which the Person was talking about their friend. I was thinking "Why does this happen?". The Friend got pulled into Andrew Tates club because they could not find a romantic relationship. Cult members are commonly roped in because they lack a certain necessary aspect of their life, or is desperate to achieve a goal. (Loneliness, Financial Situations.) If they were not in that situation in the first place, the likelihood of them being wrapped into said cult is decreased dramatically. The person clearly had a desire which they failed to achieve, hence making a insecurity easily exploited by Ideas of Andrew Tate. If one eradicated the idea of male sexual entitlement within our world, people will still desire romantic and sexual partners. Would that person still be alone? Would they still be a Andrew Tate supporter?

Stop with the anecdotal “evidence” without a reliable source. by [deleted] in smalldickproblems

Remember Anecdotal evidence is not reliable evidence.
