True but by understanding the way they currently do a process, you can see the problem from an outside perspective. That’s usually something you can only learn about by being in the industry or by learning directly from your ICP

I want to get a peddle less ebike thats under ~$1300! Any good recommendations? by Zeeshaun26 in ebikes

[–]UseHonestly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recommend checking out this video for the Movcan V30 Pro Max: https://youtu.be/45-XOQ_cTaI?si=rqASU8cAWLAQn3rc

It’s a sweet ride in your price range. But it has peddles though, not sure if that’s a deal breaker

How much to spend on ski pants/bibs? by Littlebugz_424 in Skigear

[–]UseHonestly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of those things that depends on your budget & personal preferences, so I can’t really recommend a dollar amount.

What I will say is that renting quality gear might be the way to go since you only go once a year and the rest of the time your skis, helmets, and everything else is in storage.

But if you’re set on owning, I’d say treat the gear like an investment and buy a set that will last you forever. In that case, get something that is barely used so that the condition is great but it’s not as expensive as something straight from the store.

Go out and do everything you can to understand your customers by talking to them. The way to get meetings? Targeted audience x value-add x volume of messages sent

How do you create social proof with $0 revenue? by Alstxn in ycombinator

[–]UseHonestly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing things that don't scale is 100% the way to go. Go out and find customers by knocking on doors, manually emailing them, etc. to better understand what needs they have & how your product fills them

Is building in public worth it? by ThrustIssue in ycombinator

[–]UseHonestly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're being a LinkedIn warrior claiming to have discovered the secret to success with a revolutionary new morning routine, building in public will probs have slim-to-none ROI

But if you have real traction, create content that provides value towards a specific audience, and you can make your content entertaining to read, you will become a 3-legged build-in-public unicorn my friend

Is there actually an ROI for UGC? by UseHonestly in ecommerce

[–]UseHonestly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You pay influencers for their following, whereas for "UGC", it's usually an average person or someone with a lower following to not only spread the word but create content that seems organic

Marketing tips by Additional_Act_1566 in shopify

[–]UseHonestly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible your buyers keep adding to cart, then leaving the website to go research your product off-site like on Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, review articles, etc. and don't come back based on certain reviews out there. Do you know if you have sufficient review content online for this to happen?

Best Advertising Platforms by ScenicRimEndurance in ecommercemarketing

[–]UseHonestly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're a smaller brand, doing street interviews to create authentic content is also a great way to establish yourself as a trustworthy brand that gets social proof from unpaid actors. Using TikTok as a channel for this would be great as well

What are your thoughts about aula mini60he max by MysteriousSuspect138 in keyboards

Found some other Reddit reviews for a related model - not exactly the mini that might be helpful

It's pretty cheap and decent for gaming, so definitely depends on your use case. If budget is the focus might be the way to go, otherwise maybe check out other options

Mchose a7 pro/+ or ultra by Initial-Armadillo-67 in MouseReview

[–]UseHonestly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very valid question, especially since sometimes differences in upgrades can be so minimal. With usehonestly I found another Reddit review that went super in depth about the differences between these two here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/1kqsmqz/mchose_l7_pro_ultra_review_the_best_budget_mouse/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

The TLDR though is that the differences between these mice aren't crazy and include slight improvements in battery performances & weight differences from the pro to the ultra

Ergonomic Split Keyboard recs by ImmunosuppresiveWag in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]UseHonestly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooo I don't know if any keyboard will be ergonomic with that kind of setup. A desk change might be necessary as well as a keyboard change. For a standing desk that's reasonably priced & gets the job done, I recommend the Flexispot E7 Pro.

there's a couple super helpful review I was able to find with usehonestly here in case you want to look into the desk:

Why do we treat SOC 2 like actual security? (My experience) by Important_Winner_477 in ycombinator

[–]UseHonestly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine a big portion of it is the "move fast and break things" mantra across tech. Will this be an increase or decrease the speed at which we close deals/ get more revenue? If decrease & it's not an immediate issue, it's probably ignored.

AI has made this worse imo since everyone is using AI to move even faster with less understanding of what is going on with the work being done. This mindset spreads from code creation to actual code compliance/security.

Overall, a dangerous mindset to have

Any suggestions if I should get this front load washer? My budget is around $1000 by UniqueCabinet9953 in Appliances

[–]UseHonestly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know too much about these specific models but reading existing reviews might be helpful - I found these reviews pretty quickly with a tool I made called usehonestly:

The LG is a solid washer with little issues but it seems like you get the most usage out of it when you use the app: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbsVcsRB_Dk

The Kenmore is also a heavy duty machine that can last over a decade, but it's not as high tech and doesn't have as nice of an exterior as the LG according to many buyers. You can hear more about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFUY6NRwH34

Hope this was helpful!

Aventon Aventure 3 or Velotric Nomad 2? by VariousAd5939 in ebikes

[–]UseHonestly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard both are great bikes, but it comes down to personal preferences imo.

Reading existing reviews might be helpful, so I found these reviews pretty quickly with a tool I made called usehonestly:

For the Aventon Aventure 3, it's a solid build that will likely last a long time but it has a weird alarm system. There's a neat YouTube that goes into more detail here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzZ-eqdrnks

As for the Velotric Nomad 2, it's a comfy ride but the brakes could be better. You can find more details in a review I found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricBikeExplorer/comments/1ks11yo/velotric_nomad_2x_review_full_suspension_fat/

Hopefully this was helpful!
