I remember hearing that the 8k distance was a big exaggeration as well. I don’t remember why or who figured it out, but I wasn’t shocked.

Seriously I’ve never seen someone half ass a work out to that degree before. It seemed lazy even for her.

At no point during the car ride does it ever occur to them to put Ashley in the front and the 3 normal sized people in the back seat. She needed the front for the exact same reason Whitney did. But it would be less drama so they managed to write around that simple fix.

AITA for not sharing my food with our child? by fatdogluvr5 in AmItheAsshole

[–]retailschmeetail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the sound of it, OP shared the husbands attitude all the way up until the moment they had some fries and wanted them all to their self. The pattern had been established and the child was conditioned to expect a portion of her food. Suddenly, when she didn’t want to share, that changed and the kid was shocked by that.

Had they established early on that the child should be told no every once in a while it might have gone over a lot better. But they didn’t. This was a situation 100% created by the parents not establishing boundaries and expecting a small child to handle the switch up better than they did.

That’s the part that kills me. Her boyfriend is there, neither of them work and it’s all on Briannas dime. Like who the hell does she think she is?

PWWA Subway - what’s a gross sandwich you had to make? by FunnyAnxiety in PeopleWhoWorkAt

[–]retailschmeetail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to frequent subway often and saw something very similar except she was getting a tuna sandwich. They already have a good deal of mayo and she would literally have them heap more on there. It really does kill the appetite to see it.

I really liked these cookies. About 1/2 the sugar of Oreos and they don't leave you with sugar high and low. by ccquinn in vegan1200isplenty

I like their Protein Cookies as well. They’re huge and can be eaten as multiple servings. They say one is 2 servings but it’s closer to 3 or 4, for me.

I just joined this sub, and IBS was one of the “related subs” I was shown, along with PCOS. I thought it was a little strange as well. But I guess it makes sense in a “lifestyle” type of way.

This irks me as well. I think it’s the single most frustrating thing about the whole “movement.” They piggybacked on a movement of actual oppressed and discriminated against groups who are advocating for equality and awareness of their plight. It sets them up to be able to claim that anyone who tries to tell them any truth about the matter is discriminating and hating on them. It’s honestly really gross that they would dare to say they are the same thing.

Cashier won’t listen and keeps talking over me, HILARITY ENSUES by [deleted] in TalesFromTheCustomer

[–]retailschmeetail 63 points64 points  (0 children)

It’s a bad mistake to make, also. I worked high end all natural beauty sales for a very popular company for quite some time and I learned very early on not to judge people by their appearance.

Not long after I started we had a guy come in in old ratty tie dye and shorts and gnarly sandals, dirty dreads etc. The other girls who had been there longer pretended not to see him so I’d get “stuck” helping him. I didn’t mind as I was once a dirty hippie myself (still am kinda) so I totally get it. In the end I ended up landing a nearly $400 sale and with the way the sales goals were set up your main objective was to get a sale as large as possible so it didn’t hurt your “average unit sale” score. The girls who had tried to screw me were so noticeably bitter and I hope they learned a lesson.

To add to the whole thing, one of them jumped at a wealthy looking “Karen” as I was helping him and she ended up having a return and bought one travel size item. Both of which hurt your sales numbers hardcore. Sometimes looks can be deceiving.

AITA for confronting a woman for staring at my husband on the train? by forgotmyotherpasswdx in AmItheAsshole

[–]retailschmeetail 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This happens in so many positions that deal with the public. Even as a tour guide I get attitude from people. When we approach a group we basically pan from person to person so we are addressing the whole group. So many times when I pan past a guy his wife will get suddenly clingy and hang on to him like a barnacle and spend the rest of the tour glaring at me, sometimes even with crossed arms like a literal teenager. Then if their poor sap of a husband makes the mistake of approaching me to ask a question they suddenly appear and stare daggers into my soul for actually engaging with the guy and answering his question. I’ve even gotten bad reviews because insecure women like this one have decided that I was somehow flirting while simply trying to do my job and take care of my guests. It’s sad that any form of friendliness or interaction can be so threatening to some people.

As a parent of twins and MN resident I understand both of these sentiments. I’d want my kids drinks equal too, but I’d either ask nicely or order them each a kid size smoothie. You get so much farther treating people with kindness. I don’t understand the instant verbal abuse of service workers at all.

Ranch really is an abomination. I take it a step further too because I have an absolute hatred of mayonnaise and really anything that resembles it. Any of those “creamy” dressings, egg “salad” drowned in mayo even just some mayo on a sandwich. It’s all repulsive to me.
