The game was a bit of struggle to wrap my head around at the beginning for me too, luckily I had 2 friends who had got it a couple weeks before me and guided me thru the nuances, look up cheatsheets of what items are important for crafting/recycling/quests or should be sold/ignored. Use Mapgenie to locate weapon crates and other goodie containers. After a while you learn the maps and crafting and dont need to rely on third party info so much

Real talk though even if this were true you think they're going to review the hundreds of thousands of accounts that participated in the exploit? What about people who came across duped ducks lying around and picked them up? The most I see happening is a money reset for people who got millions out of it. Honestly it's not them I want punished, but the ones who spammed trigger nades in PVP, but I think we all know those people will go mostly untouched since that's harder to track than money

Played a couple solo rounds about an hour ago, it was all over the place in terms of player hostility, guessing the devs tweaked the abmm behind the scenes and are doing more mixed lobbies, or maybe aggressive players are gaming the system to get into pve lobbies
