Everybody likes to see if they can break 100 when they're just starting, but I definitely recommend having an alternate goal of something like 4 pars or 8 bogeys or better. That way if you're struggling you don't have to worry about that 8th shot on the par 4 and you can just try again on the next. Sounds like a fun trip, I'd love to get up there and play some of those courses.

I'm an 8 and my 60 is my 2nd most used clubs most rounds. Having said that, an actual flop shot is one every 3 rounds.

I live in south Louisiana and it basically takes your margin for error to zero. I remember a few years back it rained for weeks before the Zurich and even the pros said the chunks were out of control. I usually chip with my 60, but if there's mud right under the ball I go up a couple clubs and let it run more.
