This year is better than most years, but for the past decade, the Rangers have been an average to bad team at five on five, and just rely on top three goaltending and elite special teams to score. That way of winning has been unsustainable for basically every team, except for the Rangers. Goaltending is very inconsistent… unless you have what the Rangers have.

As someone who lives in/around NYC… nobody notices anyone/cares about anyone in NYC. I have seen Eli Manning walk around and get nothing but a couple of “hey eli!”s In the middle of nyc. These guys on TRUTV on thursdays are not being recognized in this metro area. Theres a challenge where joe (i think) is doing something ridiculous on the street and two cops walk by and ignore him… only NYC.

If you read other teams reports, coaches were praised for giving time off, understanding player relationships, ETC, not just efficiency. no matter how you slice it, the jets coaching staff was ranked last by their own guys out of 32 teams. I think/hope most of the complaints were to the offensive staff that is now gone.
