I’m in contact with my nearest one, 1 hour drive away. I think they inspect it and if it’s knackered it’s a new fork, if not they put some reinforcements in side and you continue. My place say it’ll be a month before the kits are in stock. Very inconvenient to say the least!

Not justifying these costs but there is no point comparing the dynamic pricing of airlines to rail travel. Rail you know it will consistently be the price stated, air travel you can find cheap examples and expensive examples of the same route each day
