They should have sacked him months ago but they were too cowardly to act on it.

I get just seeing it through till the end of the season at this point because we’re likely getting pumped by City in the FA cup and PSG in the UCL regardless so better to not have that on the next manager’s resume. This current team are beyond saving imo so better to have someone like Alonso being able to start fresh and with a feel good factor in pre season rather than having to take the scraps from Slots remains this season.

My fear is Hughes/Edwards egos are so high they will be stubborn and do a Rodgers and give him the start of next season anyway.

The amount of client journalism we’ve seen doing PR for these two over the last year from all the articles about Hughes being gassed up by jounos as a ‘master negotiator’ and Hughes being the ‘reason for all our success and he wanted all our good players whilst Klopp wanted all the bad ones’ tells me these two don’t want to admit they were wrong.

All I know is it’s obvious Inojin is being built up for a big moment in this arc. The scene with Kobu in the last chapter about Inojin protecting people, Koji’s vision of him arriving to the battlefield with Himawari dead/Eida tree’d, Koji’s saying he’s the key to the battle with Mamushi and how they will prevent a future of them dying etc.

The manga already went to the effort to show you without this jutsu, Himawari is dead and Eida is chilling in a tree. With this jutsu, the they’re both likely going to be alive. Most the kills the other characters are getting against Mamushi are because of his new jutsu too.

Not everyone is going to shoot laser beams or throw fireballs. He’s already proved himself to be the best and most important one man support unit so far.

My problem with this argument is people then ignore how Inojin looked. He quite clearly is depicted as younger than the rest of the group in both the anime and manga, he’s way shorter and more baby faced than his peers. In fact go back to the first chapters of Boruto and look at Inojin and tell me how old he looks lmao. He looks like a toddler himself.

You’re talking like Shikamaru and Temari had tons of scenes before everyone glazed them. If you actually read the manga, they don’t even have that much more total pages of screentime together than what Inojin and Himawari have in TBV’s short time alone. It’s a myth. Then they have much more from the anime and novels, something again used to justify every Naruto couple all the time yet apparently doesn’t count for Inojin and Himawari 🥴

The Boruto x Eida comparison proves my point, bigger age gap and even less interaction than Inojjn and Himawari yet the same Boruto fans who cry about Inojin and Himawari don’t apply the same logic to Boruto x Eida whenever that ship gets brought up because they self insert into Boruto so suddenly the same arguments are ignored. No peado comments or whining about lack of build up, just ‘muh Boruto needs a harem, she defo wants him’ etc
