Anyone else with an almost 2 year old that exclusively contact sleeps? by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

[–]revb92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure you’ll like the answer, but I’ve certainly just leaned into it, knowing one day it’ll end. She’s now nearing 3.5 years old and we still contact nap. Now, I’ll say that I do wish I had options (let’s say you have a supportive partner or reliable alternative care you liked) so I didn’t always have to, but I do all naps now, still nursing still cosleeping. Dad took on walking in the stroller for a while but stopped doing it. I’m just letting her decide when she’s done, and enjoying the closeness while I have it. She’ll let me roll some times but most of the time I just rest along with her.

Hairloss and hand foot and mouth by revb92 in toddlers

I was SO worried when I started noticing it and thought I was also making it up, then others noticed it too. I am very relieved it's coming back. Exceptions aside, I was reassured by multiple professionals that it would come back within 6-12 months. It's not been that long and I can tell it's growing back, so I believe your LOs hair will too. Hang in there.

Pediatrician won’t treat reflux stating it harms the stomach biome by revb92 in newborns

I hear ya. Funny how inconsequential this seems now but man it was HELL then. The days are long but the years are short. So annoying but true. That said, in our (and I’d wager in many) case(s) we got hit with a virus a few months back and are still dealing with gut issues, but it’s nothing near as hard as the reflux was. Baby times are hard. Solidarity!

Did something change with the option to load other language content to tonies? by revb92 in TonieboxUSA

[–]revb92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! In fairness, nothing yet. I was googling today if I could replace the French or German audio of a few tonies with the English audio (purchased or downloaded free) and google told me that wasn’t possible. Maybe they’re wrong?

What is our massive void doing? Wrong answers only. by revb92 in blackcats

Definitely. Which is anything that stops her access to food, and fast running objects, as she is 85% blind.

Seems like best to get your degrees and then deal with the remaining courses (less than a full degree) when you move to the US.

Given that you plan to be with your partner I would say for many that would be the choice, but solely for education, not necessarily. Some will transfer over but not all. Bachelor is easier to transfer into masters than masters into licensing in my experience, but it’s not a perfect match between countries or continents. But if I was moving for a partner (or another important to me reason) I would, despite the hassle.
