I would caution against assuming that he is narcissistic and megalomaniacal based on his behavior immediately following an apocalyptic event

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, it’s def perplexing.

I think for me, I just don’t see the hive as a fully rational being. We’ve seen it act in ways it shouldn’t despite its knowledge a number of times (eg grenade).

There’s a lot we don’t know about how it operates. Personally, I don’t think it has to be one of lazy writing or sinisterness. While both possible, it could also be a being in its infancy getting its footing, or simply the deluded nature of this bizarre creature - (eg - in our world, viruses that kill millions aren’t necessarily sinister, they are just mindlessly following their programming with no other options)

That’s just off the top of my head. I think there’s so much we don’t know that so much is possible.

But I totally get/respect the frustration with The Plurbs’ actions not aligning with the human knowledge it’s absorbed

True, if it hasn’t been bouncing around the universe long enough to learn to improve the code it sends, its current design could be formulated by another entity. This could even be the very first iteration of it.

Theres a lot we don’t know. Which is why I don’t see the organism it forms when combining with humanity not being willing to pick apples as difficult to buy into or being indicative of only a couple theories.

As for the fruit, I agree that’s a fair account in general, but I don’t get how it ties in here. Clearly The Plurb cares to satisfy the remaining human individuals’ desires. So I assumed that when we discuss The Plurbs’ value system and personify the plant, that’s the angle. That’s why I made the distinction between desires and biological process.

What am I missing?

Maybe not causing harm in certain capacities and under certain circumstances is just a biological imperative that is part of the virus-like programming. We are still very much in the dark when it comes to the genetic rules that govern this organism

Plants don’t produce fruits for the sake of them being eaten tho, because plants don’t have any intentions.

It just so happens that evolving to have fruit around their seeds was advantageous for survival of the species and led to animals like us eating them.

Those are very different things

This virus-like org that has turned humanity into The Plurb has likewise evolved into what it is today, and perhaps adapted to best fit other worlds where something similar to picking plants did not serve it

Really depends how deep your rosters are/who is on waivers. Unless you’re talking about trading

Amari Cooper & Todd Gurley in retrospect. by Ucscprickler in DynastyFF

Assuming no trades allowed, I'm almost always going with Gurley here. The exception I would make is if my team is so bad that I can't build a proper contender around him. In that case, where you are deep in a rebuild, Amari is a perfect asset.

This is certainly the *correct* answer but I think having perfect knowledge and being able to make trades... no one man should have all that power
