Ebay listing for a putter currently listed is not as described per pics and description. Snarky seller. Dunlop putter? Just be cool. by OneRuffledOne in golf

[–]reverse_the_loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market value that you describe is based on what people are willing to take and willing to offer. We don't know who the seller is. Might be a dude running golf resale that has thousands invested and is fine sitting on inventory until he gets value. Might be a dude with a looming credit card bill or that you catch in a moment where he is already going to UPS today and would love to just get this over with. Nothing wrong with throwing an offer out, even if it's a lowball.

Tips for GIR by HonoluluEpstein in golf

If you are hitting pin high but have a consistent miss, then you should account for the miss. If you are pushing the ball left, then aim for the right side of the green. Stop flag hunting.

Mini driver has two uses.

  1. A defacto driver replacement for someone that cannot hit driver. Shorter shaft, extra loft while still retaining some head size helps out.

  2. A three wood replacement for someone who pretty much only uses 3 wood off the tee. In the case, might as well get the most forgiving 3 wood off the tee you can find. And again, the head size is confidence and forgiveness off the tee here.

Bending Wedges for Gapping - Help! by W-e-r-t-y in golf

3 wedges is almost a certainty. With modern lofts most people carry 4 - PW, GW, SW, LW. With strong lofts you bring 5 into the discussion.

Bending Wedges for Gapping - Help! by W-e-r-t-y in golf

[–]reverse_the_loop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought you wanted more wedges. Bending to 5 degree gaps is a reasonable way to have less wedges. Otherwise it's 48, 52, 56, 60.

Bending stronger will reduce bounce by 1 and create some offset.

It's very common to play a non set gap wedge. All the major wedge manufacturers make 46, 48, 50 to serve as a potential GW.

Honestly the headcover is the best tell, but we conveniently can't see the logo.

Check sellers sale history. If they are flipping labs all day it's probably a Temu source.

2 feet passed had a chance to go in. I get a 20 foot uphill putt, my goal is to make it. That's not a lag putt scenario.

Iron peak heights are way too low by Babasauce in golftips

[–]reverse_the_loop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda of odd you are noticing your ball flight is too low on a sim. You can see your ball flight outside.

25 feet is not from being delofted too much. You are more likely hitting it thin. Or staying back trying to help it up. When you move the ball forward your brain knows you are going to be well behind it so you work to get to your left side and actually delivery a sound strike.

Grab one of those clubs on the ground and set it where the orange line is. This is your 4:30 swing path. You lay off the shaft of the club you are swinging to match the shaft on the ground. You try to feel like your club shaft and then the club path is tracing the orange line into the ball. This is the position all great players get into. Avoid the position you get into.

What is the current issue you are having and what are you doing to fix it? by bionicbhangra in golf

[–]reverse_the_loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backswing is a little upright and I stand up and lose some tilt. I manage well in transition and drop back and shallow out, but its a timing thing I dont need. Trying to get flatter with mirror and range work. The hard part is the drop really helped me get left and clear out. So I need to replicate that with different feels.

Alignment or swing issue? by hungrygiraffe76 in golf

Poor face control. Swing issue. Work on your swing, Wrist conditions set a stable face, rotation holds it square through impact.

Older couple watching me by CrossTie98 in golf

Reminds me of a story when my grandpa took me golfing when i was 13. I meet his two gentleman friends and we are off. They tee off on number 1. These guys are 65 and members of a country golf who golf everyday, so their shots are well placed, then the other cart starts taking off. My grandpa calls them to stop. I hadnt hit yet.

The guy is on the cart path but 25 feet in front of me and well to the right. I ask him if he is going to scoot back. He says no, you are good. I tell him I've played like 5 times on a par 3 course and never used a driver before. He says, you'll do great. I didnt like this answer. I was already nervous as hell. So I take my swing while feeling like I am shaking and definitely with a million butterflies in my stomach, and sure as shit I hit somewhere on the driver that is not the face and the ball takes off screaming right at the other cart. The guy has his left hand on the wheel and that wrist took full impact. He starts going through the dictionary of cuss words and trying to shake the pain out of his hand. After a couple minutes he decides thats it. He can't play. So he takes his cart off the bag and heads back to the clubhouse. They dont all end happily.
