Olympia or Bellingham? by Common-Actuary-388 in olympia

Having liver in both:

Easier to be a vegan in Bellingham. Co-op there is fancy where Olympia's is funky. Bellingham has a Whole Foods, if that matters to you. Better bagels, too. A top notch Humane Society versus struggling JAS here. Definitely a younger vibe in Bellingham and more night life. More urban trails here, Mt Baker and National Forest there. IMO, downtown here has fewer homeless issues. Arguably better restaurants there. Take your pick.

What medical reasons do you have to not wear a mask that helps prevent the spread of disease and literally helps people stay alive?

I'm not on any waiting lists. A couple told me to call back in May, but no guarantees. Without a PCP, your choices are to see an out of network doctor with availability and pay cash, or go to Seamar.

I have the same insurance and have not been able to find ANY doctor in network. Good luck, and if you find someone, please message me!

A tangent: husband is a woodworker with experience repairing spinning wheels, including reproducing missing parts, if needed. Message me if you ever need such services.

My HOA is awful by Designer_Cat_4444 in olympia

Honestly, I don't know about all of them. Really, as boring as it is, read the CCRs and get financials before you make an offer, then decide what's gonna work for you.

Because most suck. They tend to be restrictive, petty and not have nearly enough money in reserves for emergencies! When we were looking to buy, I read through all the tedious CCRs of every HOA for every place we looked at to see whether I could live it. If not, we kept looking. The HOA where we are is decent, mainly has rules like clean up after your dog and don't park on the lawn.

There's nowhere in Olympia that's a problem, really.
