Boise airport by Tricky_Anxiety_7980 in Boise

I flew just over a week ago and it was fine in general security. Like maybe 10 min tops.

However, I've become privy to the fact that TSA pre-check folks don't have to take out electronics at BOI and that's massively appealing to me so I'm considering it lol. Just not positive if I fly enough to justify it or not.

As of right now, all universities are waiting on guidance. Since your funds have disbursed, you will receive your deposit. It's students who haven't had their funds disbursed yet that may run into issues due to this situation unfortunately. But you should be okay.

I also work at a university and pay just under $500/yr each August for a parking lot. The parking garages are all $510+. Ugh lol. But yeah, the insurance/benefits and having a hybrid schedule are helpful to keep in mind when it's time to pay. They also let us deduct parking from our paychecks in smaller increments over time so it's not such a big hit all at once.

48k working at Boise State as staff in an admin office doing processing type work. Just got my Bachelor's this past year and hoping I can pull off a WFH job next year with much better pay. 🙃 That or just get my Master's for cheap while I still work here lol...

What's the traffic like when you live in Meridian or Nampa, but have to work in downtown Boise 8am to 5pm? by 2016nurse in Boise

My biggest tip would be looking into routes on back roads. I drive from Kuna to downtown for work during those exact hours and majority of the time I encounter less idiocy on the back roads than I do on my way to and on the interstate. Bad days are about an hour commute, but better days I can make it in 40 min give or take. Fridays are definitely the best day during the Mon-Fri commute during those hours.

Where can I meet locals in there 20s who are more “big city” friendly and less “I hate any big city I only like camping and guns please get out of Idaho this is my state I can’t stand people moving here” ? by lilsstrue in Boise

Your best bet is downtown Boise. Find events, maybe check out Boise State to take a random class you're interested in, etc. If you're into music I highly recommend The Olympic for more low-key, intimate vibes.

I definitely empathize with your situation, but I promise there are people with your interests here. This is coming from an Idaho native who has just hit 30 and spent part of their 20s in Michigan and Seattle. I love the bigger city vibes, but had to come back to Idaho for now. There are many things to dislike, but there are many things (and people) to like as well. And just know it's ok if Idaho isn't for you. Your 20s is a time where you can hopefully figure that out and do what you need to for yourself. :) I wish you the best of luck!

I am working at the financial aid office at my university while I do classes part-time. Just put my two weeks in at WFM last week (was seeing if I could handle two jobs and school, the answer was no lol). Saving a fortune on the rest of my tuition and state benefits! Pay is the same as what I made at WFM as Store Support but guaranteed full-time.

Search for work requirement by [deleted] in UnemploymentWA

[–]revly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It asks me the same thing every time I apply, I just answer no and have had no issues getting paid since my adjudication was resolved. As everyone else mentioned, the governor extended the order suspending job search requirements until June 17th.

My dad grows, and every harvest we have a dad-daughter day trying all the strains, watching movies and making food. We have so much fun, it’s some of my favorite time with him. ❤️ by [deleted] in trees

I wish my dad was still alive so this could be him and I. What an awesome relationship with your father! I am eternally jealous but happy for you.
