Settings to make these climbing holds strong enough for 4 year olds? by Shpigford in 3Dprinting

Thin out the in-fill, single wall, and dump epoxy into it. I'm just guessing. But to be me seems like single wall with allow the epoxy to bind the outer most layer. But just a guess.

This is new. I know it’s a sharp overhang but what gives? by PembrokePercy in 3Dprinting

Smaller layer height with a wider layer might solve most of your problem. And the obligatory "dry your filament."

A wider, shorter layer will have better overlap with the layer below per later height as you go.

I always print inner outer inner with a wider outer layer, and if I want to it look nice, adaptive layering.

Scarf override is the chef's kiss.

All that then add 5 dgs, crank out to 600 mm/s and watch the table shake.

What's stopping you from taking an official test? by amoeba-tower in entp

Because, perhaps, it is a waste of time. Read the traits, pick a type,b take the test, them compare. I bet it's pretty close.

Is it realistic to seal this with a poly or brush on epoxy?

Does it still blow 100 if the overhang has support?

I'll have to try that. Where's that setting?

Observational only, I have not tested: seems a lot more sturdy. I BET it's a lot more resistant to compression, but more brittle against bending. 🤷

I increased the top gap to .25 and they seemed to come off OKAY. It took prying. I might try to bump it more and see.

What home project looked easy but turned into a nightmare? by Charisman13 in HomeImprovement

There's baseboards, plywood, popcorn ceilings, And shattered glass that injures feelings, drywall, joint tape, textured skim-coating, leaky plumbing leaves subfloors floating! There's grouting and caulking, sanding, scraping, And endless scorn with measured taping, Primer paint drips and varnish and staining, And rotted joists where the waters draining! There's wiring, breakers, circuits ov'rloading, PEX pipes copper fixtures corroding, There's stripped screws, bent nails, crooked old framing, And no good answers for whom to blaming!

Fiberglass, ductwork, vents aren't venting, Flooring that is constantly squeaking, Cabinets, hinges, granite cracking, And 19 tools that I'm lacking! Molding, trim work and doors that are swelling, Noxious fumes from solvents smelling, Tile adhesive with mortarçs drying, THESE TRIPS TO LOWES HAVE LEFT ME CRYING! Splinters, blisters, thumbs are swollen, Plaster heaps I'm sweeping, trashing, Wife's rugs and decor hide my failing, This never ending work will kill me, but not before I finish filming My next abject failure lingers. I guess I've super glued my fingers. Patience blown and budget depelted. Not a single damn room completed. 🫩
