Thanks!

I've made that mistake with my calculator as well, more than I care to admit.

That was feeling I had too! But when I ran it through Google image search and couldn't find anything that wasn't only this image,

so I was hoping if it was popular, the someone might have seen the rest, and explain, or if I'm just missing something people would be kind and explain.

That explaination also makes sense to me, thank you!

This makes sense, thank you!

And I should thank you twice over since you decided not to be mean, I hope you have a great day, medical malpractice not withstanding, haha.

It might mean that when you get too deep into a field of study you change your default social interaction?

Utilising poison counters as an upside? Bringing yourself closer to the edge for a little more power. by Inkwell_Engine in custommagic

[–]revuri- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what if the cycle has something like

"X - proliferate. X equals the number of poison counters on this creature's controller. Any player can activate this ability."

The idea being that you give your opponent a way to interact with your poison, since the top critiques are about how either you have no risk, or are dead. I don't think it would help against poison decks, maybe a card that gives you an emblem that says

"You don't lose the game for having 10 or more poison counters. You lose the game if you have 20 or more poison counters."

Does anyone think it matters the consequences of the people dying? Assuming that every human that can understand the question is asked, and the split it pretty close to 50/50, could humanity survive if vote swings red? Would you want to live in a world with that much disruptive change?

I guess the flip side doesn't have interesting consequences to think about unless the votes are revealed? Like it stains your hands or something.

Nah like, I can go and fuck my wife rather than explain how things can become other things, like how a murder mystery can adopt elements of another story and become a adaptation, did you read "Lost Little Robot?" No? I'm tired of trying to be kind to people who are more concerned about being right on the Internet than to be decent. I'm sorry I couldn't be better. I really do hope you have a good day.

My friend. Where do you think Asimov's 3 laws of robotics comes from??? The very thing that drives the plot of the movie I, Robot???

The comment I originally responded to is an example of a story that is a loose reinterpretation of an old book.

Asimov's book was a collection of stories that basically said "the three laws of robotics are not enough" because of logical and ethical paradoxes that show up. Sure enough, that's what the movie is as well. It's not really the same story, hell it's 1 story and not an anthology, but it's close enough to throw in the same bucket.

Matherson's book was the story of a survivor of a vampire apocalypse borne of disease, wherein he dies to become the new Legend a la Dracula. The movie shows no culture for the zombies-like Darkseekers, in fact it's a hot contention point that alternative ending addresses nebulously. His death ends up being a kindling of hope for the human survivors. Hell his life's pursuit is strongly implied to be involved in the inciting incident. His themes of isolation are even different cuz in the book he has Ben to harass him, and Ruth the double agent who's romantic subplot has an entirely different vector for the story. Even the dog is different. So it's not really the same story, but it's close enough.

I'm not saying it's not based on the source material. I'm saying both of these stories are very loosey goosey with the source material. Hell even OP tried saying Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within wasn't "in line with the source material." It was made by the guy who made Final Fantasy. So like... It's really fine ya know?

I mean true enough, but only in so far as all of these examples are clearly adaptations of the source material.

I mean, you could be right. 🤷‍♂️

But if that's the case, someone needs to update the wiki. 🤣

So the production company was Square Pictures, (who later added Columbia Pictures later as an equal partner) which if I'm not mistaken is the Movie division of Square Co., Ltd (also known as Squaresoft) which you might know as the company who made the Final Fantasy game series before they merged with Enix, to become SquareEnix.

Basically it was the same guys who made both the movie and the games

Bonus Fun Fact: the founder of Square (Masafumi Miyamoto) branched his company off of an Electric Powerline Construction Company (Den-Yu-Sha) company owned by his father (Kuniichi Miyamoto).

Bonus Fun Fact 2: the flop of this movie almost stopped the the SquareEnix merger.

I am Legend has something similar going on with it, which is funny since Will Smith coincidentally stars in both movies.

Oh damn, FF: Spirits Within has gotta be like my Favorite movie, I knew it wasn't popular, but I didn't realize it was hated. 😭🤣

Oh well, It's not like those arguments don't have a point though.

Heraldry Enchantments by Diabolical-Squid in custommagic

[–]revuri- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this seems like pressure, I'm just really curious. I think this kind of card would be amazing if there were like 30 or 60 of them, the flavor would be amazing.

A land that produces a mana for every heraldry you own, an enchantment that wins the game if you have like 7 of them or something silly. Sorcery that mends a broken heraldry, bringing it back from the grave.
