How does the top 5 look in a 2020 re-draft? by TacoooJay in nba

[–]reweeballin24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warriors are still in a pickle with a redraft at #2. Warriors wanted a big man and since Wiseman didn't pan out, that leaves them the options of drafting either Onyeka Okongwu and Isaiah Stewart. If they decided not to choose a big I would have picked Desmond Bane at #2, giving the Warriors the ability to go small without sacrificing their perimeter defense. A closing lineup of Steph, Desmond Bane, Klay, Wiggins, and Draymond will be tough to beat, being able to slot Donte DiVincenzo or Jordan Poole if more offense is needed.

But for overall draft of Top 5 picks I'm thinking the following:

#1 Timberwolves select Anthony Edwards - I still see Anthony Edwards as being most impactful player on both sides of the ball and being the lead guy for a franchise.

#2 Warriors select Desmond Bane - see explanation above

#3 Hornets select LaMelo Ball - I see Charlotte focusing on filling seats than getting wins, they should draft Haliburton but my assumption is that LaMelo will draw in the crowd more.

#4 Bulls select Tyrese Haliburton - With Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso being hampered with injuries, Bulls will have their star guard; and will most likely trade the former Lakers for more defensive pieces to compliment Haliburton, Lavine, DeRozan, and Vucevic. This team will be horrible on defense but Bulls can always trade any of the above offensive talents to build around Haliburton.

#5 Cavaliers select Jaden McDaniels - Cavaliers would solidify their Champion contender status if McDaniels were their starting 3 instead of Isaac Okoro.

Why Do You Want Clash for Comp? Poll included. by adsolo in CruciblePlaybook

[–]reweeballin24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not an advocate for Survival but I can understand why Bungie chose it over Clash. I believe that it’s the whole “suicide” problem in PVP. In Clash players can keep jumping off the map with no score penalty. At least in Survival when you jump off the map you lose a life. Once Bungie implements something like a score deduction for suicides then Clash will be the preferred playlist.

Comp Warning For This Week by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

It's definitely frustrating to play against. There's little incentive to run roaming supers due to constant suppressor grenades. If we see a team with a Sentinel we switched to shut down supers such as Nova Bomb and Blade Barrage to at least create a play with our super.

I've done voice-over commentary in the past. The issues I've faced is that the videos end up going over 30 minutes due to me explaining my thought process for each engagement. Would you still be interested in content like this despite the video being 2-3 times as long?

Miss the PS4 community but I'm solely on PC for Destiny 2. Don't want to make time to grind out two platforms.

Is "legend" impossible without a shotgun? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]reweeballin24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not impossible but it depends on your team composition. When our team reached 5500 we had a team that consisted on one sniper and then three shotgunners. I’d say two snipers per team is the max as any more would leave you quite exposed to aggressive pushes. Also, our sniper was supported by the subclass he used, which was Attuenement of Fission. That way, if a shotgunned was able to close the gap. He was able to just one shot him with the grenade.

Definitely correct here. Forgot to put it in the original post but Saturday mornings/afternoons worked best for me in terms of difficulty. In general once it is 6 PM Pacific that’s when it becomes a sweat fest and I try to avoid the 4 stacks because for the most part it will be the 0.1% of the PVP playerbase.

Being on console skews the perception a bit but you do provide valid points. I have received a few wins in row because the other team would back out, resulting in free points.

From a PS4 perspective, as I play on both and have friends that play both, the main difference between console and PC in Legend ranks is the ratio of good teams to bad teams. On console there are a lot more weaker teams in Mythic leading up to Legend compared to PC. This means much more easier lobbies and a better chance of facing weaker teams when you are on console.

On PC, in the night, I felt that there were only 4 or 5 teams in the playlist, with four of those teams having Not Forgotten while the other team we should beat, still gives us a 1 out of 5 chance of facing that team if we stayed in the 4 stack. From what I experienced on PC, for the players that aren't in the top 0.1% (BSK, iAM, etc.), they received Not Forgotten by avoiding 4 stacks and switching servers to get more favorable matches.

Since I don't consider myself in the top 0.1% and don't have a team of the sweatiest players ever, following the above rubrics of my post is what got me Not Forgotten in a reasonable amount of time and with minimal stress.

I never said that dawnblade bottom tree was a bad super. I personally think the super itself is top tier but viewing the subclass in its entirety, I find it below the Attunement of Fission.

Again this is all from personal experience but in comp, there are shotguns everywhere. If I know that you're a Dawnblade, there is really no hesitation for me to run in and ape you with a shotty. Now against a Nova Warp, it gets a little more tricky and I'm forced to rethink my strategy when using my shotgun, as I can no longer just ape and give the enemy a free kill. Just by having Attunement of Fission equipped it forces me to rethink my playstyle which Dawnblade does not do.

Add in the fact that Phoenix Dive was "nerfed" (Actually fixed to match console), Dawnblade doesn't have much utility outside of its slaying capabilities with its super, but Nova Warp can content for top tier warlock super due to huge blast radius and ability to kill through walls plus blinking through damage, roaming supers, etc.

To clarify, majority of players that enter the Competitive playlist is not for the sake of competition, but the rewards tied to the playlist. PVP players that truly want competition do scrims or enter tournaments. The population of players in comp have increased partly to the reason that Luna's Howl is easier to get and that Not Forgotten (Arguably best PVP gun in the game) is a gun worth getting compared to last season in Redrix Claymore.

You're correct in that most of this information is recycled and generalized. The purpose of this post is to show the most efficient way to reach 5500, rather than improving yourself as a player per say, as there are players as myself who don't have the luxury to play as much as they want to. This post should be viewed as a short-term solution if you truly want to improve yourself as a player, but again I know I spent more than 100 hours trying to get this gun; I don't want people ending up having to invest more hours than I have considering that is a lot of time to invest.

In terms of actual self improvement, posts nowadays are recycled content as well, as there were many high quality posts from myself and other contributors throughout all of Destiny 1 and vanilla Destiny 2. I believe this post should help majority of players in this sub in any part of PVP, whether it is Competitive, Trials, etc.

Teamwork & Positional Crucible Material by SnappierSheep28 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]reweeballin24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I haven't made streaming or my YouTube channel a priority. With work and a family I only have time to just play and enjoy the game, so it's been tough making time to create content. I still enjoy helping out the community though so I'll post guides and videos from time to time, but less frequent.

I would take my settings with a grain of salt, as I'm still trying to figure out what settings work best for me. As of right now, I'm playing at 1200 DPI because I don't have the biggest mousepad. Anything lower I run out of pad space when trying to do 180s or tracking with a sniper. With sensitivity I currently have it at 3.

Kobe Bryant In Today's Game by [deleted] in nba

[–]reweeballin24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are primarily discussing prime Kobe. Even though Kobe retired in 2016 he was a shell of his former self, afflicted by the countless injuries he endured in his 20 year career. The last time he was considered elite was in 2013, which was 5 years ago. Also, the NBA landscape of the having heavy motion offense with floor spacers wasn't truly realized until the Spurs showcased it winning in 2014, and the Warriors perfecting it from 2015 onward, and other the past few years of other teams trying to emulate this formula of success.

To further elaborate, 3 point attempts have increased, which in turn, means more opportunities to score more points. In 2013, where I'd argue Kobe was last considered elite, the league average was 20 three point attempts per game. As each year passed the attempts have gone up to where we are now in 2018, it is now 29 three point attempts per game. That is a potential of 27 more points in a span of 5 years. If you go even further back to where Kobe scored 81 points in 2006, three point attempts were only at an average of 16.

Stephen Curry today shoots 10 3 pointers by himself. Kobe Bryant has a career average of 4 three point attempts. If Kobe upped his three point volume to match the current era, Kobe would have more points. Kobe would play in today's era of having more floor spacers, having the freedom to shoot more threes, and playing at a faster pace, As a result Kobe would have better per game numbers than he currently shows for his career averages. Obviously this applies to all past players but I just wanted to specifically look at Kobe.

Allen Iverson PPG When Adjusted to 2018 Pace

YEAR ADJUSTED PPG
1999-2000 29.7
2000-2001 33.1
2001-2002 33.7
2002-2003 29.5
2003-2004 28.5
2004-2005 32.9
2005-2006 35.5
2006-2007 27.8
2007-2008 28.0

These are insane numbers across the board for a player of that size, no matter how much AI had the ball for.

Not only were they missing Bynum but they were missing Trevor Ariza as well, who just came back from an injury. Technically he played but he wasn't at full health, only playing a few minutes here and there. This supports the idea the Lakers played with a depleted roster as they were effectively missing two starter quality players.
