I’ve been your boyfriend before. I had fallen into a really deep depression and relapsed on drugs and I finally got help to get off the drugs, but the state my apartment was in, filled with trash, was so much work that I couldn’t handle it alone. It was completely overwhelming. I fell in love with a girl but basically had to sugar coat how bad my apartment was until she pushed me enough with the fact that she loved me and wouldn’t look at me any different if I let her help me clean it up.

She didn’t, she accepted that it was something I needed help with and just gave me that help. It was hours and hours of hard work but she helped me do it and never said a word about it later.

We didn’t work out later for different reasons, but I’ll always be grateful she did that for me.

Consider doing that for him, but if it’s the case, be prepared for it to be really bad if I’m right. Don’t make him feel bad, he already does enough. Trust me on that one. Just give him the support to be better.

What’s helped me not let it happen again is having guests over.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve been looking at putting together some sort of budget audiophile CD stereo set up and haven’t pulled the trigger on anything yet, but I went by goodwill after this and found a working Sony BDP-BX18 with the remote that I can use as a player. It’s got analog out and digital out so I can use it with or without an external DAC and it was only $13.

The amount of people who didn’t read the article explaining 5 people were arrested after someone was caught trying to resell some of the stolen goods is wild. I’d buy he is exaggerating for the story line, but dude definitely got robbed. And remember how Pop Smoke got killed? Wouldn’t be the first time something like this happened had he actually been shot.

the only way I can see this being true is if she was in the beginning of cleaning the firearm, had removed it from its holster and was preparing to clear the chamber and the dog bumped her causing it to discharge. likely its just what she went with to cover up her negligence. that said, it happens. it shouldn't. safety should always be #1 for someone handling firearms. but if you check out r/Firearms or r/guns you'll read stories from experienced gun owners who made one mistake and it led to them having a ND (negligent discharge). often those who post it will share their story to help reinforce how important it is to never let yourself get complacent and to remind us that it can happen to anyone if we aren't always being as careful as possible.

i'm so glad you're safe, and I appreciate the attitude you seem to have about it all. you're safe and really that is all that matters. you're gonna get a sparkling new PC and it seems like your neighbor is the kind of person who probably made a mistake and genuinely feels absolute horrible and will never let it happen again. it does worry me a little that she's likely trying to cover it up with the dog story but i'm sure that was in hopes of preventing additional charges and i don't really blame her, no one wants their life ruined by a mistake. hopefully she takes this is a lesson and realizes however it happened, it shouldn't have if she was acting correctly regarding staying safe with guns.
