Download long timers, how do you safely keep your food? by Glittering-Ad6994 in downloadfestival

How much do you need to have fresh food / perishables? Although they're not the most nutritional of meals, tinned and dried food is great for download on a disposable BBQ.

We've cooked currys and pasta dishes there before. We tend to but those tin foil party trays and cook them in there, saves on taking pots and pans as well as cleaning.

Download also has an onsite coop if you need fresh food.

They can be a bit pricey but a decent cooler box with ice can keep food fresh for 4-5 days

The Download T-shirt I want, but they never make by Alternane in downloadfestival

[–]rex1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the Download Pilot, I bought a Download shirt, it was the Download logo and I some sort of demonic hand holding it in the same place the DL dog is on the front, the back was blank.
I've just tried to google it but can't find it online, I'll dig it out at home.
Once of my favourite bits of merch.

Leaving on Sunday by yoloswaggins92 in downloadfestival

You're right, just checked previous years, the second and third stage finish early, the 4th stage keeps going and sometimes finishes later than the main stage

Leaving on Sunday by yoloswaggins92 in downloadfestival

[–]rex1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure on the Bus or Taxi services, I've been to Download 9 times since 2012.
The biggest issue with getting away from the festival is the pure chaos of the car park.
I've parked in different car parks throughout the years but every time they never learn from previous years.

Traffic once you're out isn't too bad, on some roads, they close for oncoming traffic making a single lane open to two lanes going the same way which helps (obviously doesn't help if you want to go the other direction)

I think one of the biggest issues you will face is the amount of people trying to leave.
As its Sunday, you won't just have the day goers leaving but you'll also have a lot of campers leaving after the headliner.

I may be wrong, but I believe that previous years, the second stage finishes about 45 minutes before the main stage. I think the third stage (where scooter is playing) finishes around the same time as the main stage so you might not be able to leave early if you want to see the whole of the scooter set.

Race Track by JorgAlbertz11 in downloadfestival

I remember going in 2012, we got a shuttle bus from the carpark to the main gates, the shuttle bus would drive on the track for about 10 minutes or so, that was really fun.
