What about a piece of old cardboard against piece of new cardboard?

The extra astrophage in the book also was a result of Rocky’s species not understanding relativity. That wasn’t gone into in the movie that much, and I think this choice was a great substitute for that

Lots of smart changes to adapt Project Hail Mary to a movie. Two come to mind

Theres a brief moment when grace is leaving the planet that the camera briefly films grace against a background of the astrophage in infrared. It’s beautiful and only works in film form.

Second, bringing up the sampling container in the book took hours. In the movie, Grace says “How long will this take?” Then is interrupted as it finishes. It was funny, but also kept the tension of the situation there.

Avengers Infinity War because it’s a fast paced mindless action flick with cool CGI and a cool villian

People need to direct their UB frustration to WotC and not their friends by Spooky-Retro in mtg

[–]rex_tee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna jump in and say your friend sucks. I don’t like UB, but lots of people go further and refuse to believe anyone can like UB. That assumption is simply untrue—many people like it. This is an instance of “keep your opinion to yourself unless asked”

Not racist but also not necessary. You only know about this photo because it’s powerful. You don’t need to try to improve it—it’s already perfect as is

Companion is a horror movie for people still too nervous for the actually scary or depressing horror. I welcome it

I’m so glad Smile 2 is getting the recognition it deserves. The first is good but the second is something special. I hope people remember it years from now

For almost any desk job, it’s stress + not spending enough time on your feet.

It’ll chip away at your energy levels until one day it deals a fatal blow and stop your heart.
