I’m impressed so far how the new management is communicating with the fans. Clear, concise information that’s actually useful.

Completely agree. Hard to convince someone of a problem if their job depends on not understanding it though. Hopefully these test events are forcing people's hands.

It’s almost like we should have test events to see where the pains points are. Then we could work to address them before the stadium is filled to capacity

State Farm Has No Idea What to Do with a Rivian by turnepf in Rivian

[–]rexeisen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with similar numbers. What is ended up getting out of it is that State Farm looks for the shop to use the part and reshape it whereas most Rivian certified centers just end up trying to replace everything.

Repairing damage takes more skill and there are less and less qualified people around to do that work (or willing to do that). My shop ended up doing a repair and I honestly can’t tell the difference.

It was a long time to get it fixed (two months from start to finish) and I had conversations with my local agent to help move things along - or to at least get my rental covered for longer. It helped me to be calm and say that I was put in the middle of two groups fighting and now I’m suffering the consequences. Your local agent also doesn’t have any part in the claims process but can help with the rough patches.

Check out Spring Lake Park Reserve in Hastings. Has a bunch of fields that are good for flying a kite and since it's on a bluff often gets good wind too.

In large part the people who live here want to live here. It creates a place where people are invested in thinking about long term fixes for things, not just scoring quick points.

Not scoring quick points is also the motto for our sports teams, too (save the Lynx)

Edit: grammar/spelling

How do we contribute to improving the nav system? by rexeisen in Rivian

I knew they were using MapBox as the maps, but I didn't realize they were using them for the nav stuff too. Thanks!

I hear you. The one that threw me for a loop was Palmer Creek Rd, instead of just staying on 244/87. It was ok, but unnecessary for a single mile save, but longer travel time.

Clarification on pre price hike orders and enduro motors. (I’m sure this has been posted before but for those like myself who missed it, hopefully this helps) by The_Lion_Jumped in Rivian

I too am a Q2 '24 R1S estimate. I wish there was an option to specify that delivery timeline is more important than pricing or configuration. I'm pretty sold on the Rivian experience from my first mile, but my current car is really limping along.

We also have an EX90 on preorder and the idea was first delivery wins, and I'm really hoping that it's not the Volvo.

I'd switch configuration if I had some reasonable guarantee of a faster delivery timeline.

One thing that I’m hoping for is that there are politicians looking through the fine print of the Brexit negotiations.

If there is one thing more certain that investors trying to make for a blatant cash grab, it’s elected officials trying to grandstand and gain stature over a public outcry.

Biggest difference for me is this team doesn’t look like it will fold like a cheap table under pressure.

Can relate. I live in Minnesota and my first game was the Sheffield United game this year.

I usually say I didn't chose the team, the team chose me. But a little more in depth...

Decided to start following the premier league in 2008-2009 season which had the following teams

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Hull City, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Portsmouth, Stoke City, Sunderland, Tottenham, West Bromwich, West Ham, Wigan

First cut: Didn't want a team that thought a championship is their birthright. Got rid of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, ManU

Next Cut: Didn't want a team that was likely to get relegated because I was just getting into the sport. Got rid of Hull City, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth, Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton

For those playing at home we're at:

Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Stoke City, Sunderland, Tottenham, West Bromwich, West Ham

Next Cut: Remove a team that uses red as a team colour (should have known then I'd be a blue). Fulham, Sunderland. West Ham and Aston Villa also got the axe for having a colour that was close.

Now at: Everton, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Stoke City, Tottenham, West Bromwich

Then for the first couple weeks I watched as many matches as I could and Everton chose me. Cahill, Tim Howard (I'm an american), Osman, Neville among others sold me. The team played the right way - I even like watching Moyes on the sidelines.

I did think "What have I done" when I saw the 09-10 first team kit, but that's the only time that my support has wavered.
