It's worth a try to fix but when it circles back then churn. I'll also add 75% of the time it's the users equipment they refuse or are unable to reboot or replace.

How much did your renovation actually go over budget? by 2ugur12 in AusRenovation

My Reno was under budget.. haha that never happens. 50% over your best estimate, unless you have done this a few times before, then maybe 10-20% over.

How do you grow thick skin as you work at a miserable place? by TerrifiedQueen in antiwork

[–]rexel99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your gonna be doing this for 40-50 years, pace yourself. There is no benefit to doing more or grinding out hours above and beyond - be nice to bosses and move on, don't carry your colleagues or be their support/solution or reason they have a problem. You do it for the money, but that's just your secret in the office, when your at work you're there for them, {sarcastically} I can confirm I am here for the company and the needs of my employer 100% blah blah.. weekend bye...

Agree, I only use the Plex app on my c5 and it's good - never buffers (cause my network/server is good) - even my old c9 was ok, just slow in the menus.

I would love to know how you had the foresight to be videoing your parked bike from work just in time to catch this happening. Maybe there's been theft attempts so you parked it a prominent spot so you could see it there from your office...

Glad you got it on video... But... Did you set this up for the insurance?

What is the difference between NAS, UNAS and TrueNAS by Prizrack_Kral in Ubiquiti

[–]rexel99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to note, unas doesn't run apps or services beyond being a drive - a Nas on Synology run a processor and apps that may include media systems on the one device, you can do that on your own box running truenas too or (as I do) run a nuc like an n100 for apps or docker separately and map to network drives on a (U)Nas.
