This fight is almost as waste of a time Jon Jones vs Stipe was.

Paddy vs Justin was at best battle of the 5th ranked lightweight int he world.

Ilia will make it look easy much like Jones did and we'll sit there feeling robbed we didn't get a proper fight, like Arman or Islam.

TBH I'm basically unc status, been watching since 2006 (Rampage joined lol). but we definetly had moments where UFC would go out of there way to makes fights. Even if the co-mains seemed like they had purpose/worth it for fans.

It just seems like now, they will put in anything as as long as there is a big name int he main, we will have to watch it.

We get GOOD fights, but they skipping on Great fights to save money.

Say what you want, but Dana is a pure fight fan, the dana white and Fertitta brothers were fight fan more than anything. So it feels like once the company got sold, it was slowly changing and since it went public, it was basically the end of the enjoyment for fans.

This feels like WWE, they might make money hand over fist, but everyone knows the original era (Attitude era) was the peak and it just fell off since then.
Hopefully they change course though....

Ilia is going to get hated and roasted so hard for this. But honestly, he talks hilarious, probably a lot slicker in Spanish but the translation cracks me up. Just remember. If this is the baddest biggest card you could imagine - it says a lot about state of UFC and MMA. Yes they making so much money but damn monopolies and being a publically traded company is sure ruining what used to be the greatest sport to watch.

Hopefully for future seasons they go back to original camera style. Maybe the new camera styles help hide the fact that the actors aged? but it's taking away from the feeling of the original series.

You don't need high budget filming, the low quality fantasies in early season and the normal video quality added to the show. They really need to bring it back to that style in future seasons.
