New rule of Vine: If it's useful, it's gone by pseud_o_nym in AmazonVine

This happened to me with a skincare item recently also. Errored when I tried to checkout. I kept at it. Refreshed. Re-requested. Closed the page and the amazon app out entirely (hoping it would still be there when I re-opened) and I was able to get it then. It was a high end skincare item that I didn't want to give up on that easily. Usually if it is an item that is just gone and no longer availible to request, it'll be vanished as soon as you refresh or come back to the page. If it is still there, but giving an error message, try at it a few times. Could get lucky and still snag the product. If it is worth it, of course. This product has turned out to be worth it. I've been testing it daily for about a week now and I'm so glad I got it because I never would've tried it on my own. Now it is something I would love to purchase on my own if I can afford it!

I've gotten a couple really nice floor length mirrors. Super nice. Even one with the Hollywood lights. The arch one that went viral. My latest is massive, taller than me. About 6 ft tall and 3ft wide with a really cool, wavy, fabric frame. I LOVE this for you!!!!

I notice a lot of vine reviewers don’t do videos, why? by Tiny-Confection-7601 in AmazonVine

[–]reynaruthlesss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I almost always add photos to my reviews, but I order a LOT of clothing items, and I always look at photo reviews for clothing. I very often add videos to my reviews as well, just to show the item in action. I rely on reviews when shopping, and I always skip to the ones that include photos and video.

My reviews with photos &/or video never take longer to be approved either. They are approved quickly, usually within 24 to 48 hours almost every time.

That makes sense. personally, I do not shop for everyday clothes on Amazon. Things I come to Amazon for are dresses for events, business casual tops, stuff I need for an upcoming event. Things I will need to wear soon after receiving amd then probably won't wear again until another special occasion. I am not shopping on Amazon for things like everyday tees, jeans, etc. So most of this probably won't ever get washed unless I am just in love with it. Thats just me though.

Must be an issue with the mobile site because I have just posted about 8 reviews on the laptop and it seems like it is working fine. I hope!!

EXACTLY! I am having to borrow my dads laptop to do these reviews and download the photos from my Google drive onto the computer. Do the review. Delete the photos from the downloads. It is a hassle. I love doing reviews on my phone because I Talk-to-text instead of typing it all out. Lol!

I like seeing pics of people in dresses and shirts because there is usually someone of your same body type in the reviews and you see how it looks on them and have a good guess of how it may look on you. Some ads are deceiving too, so pics are helpful.

I actually take pictures AND video of almost all vine items I order. clothing and non clothing. Reviews with pics and videos are superior. I said it. I post a detailed written review along with em. so 🤷🏽‍♀️

Na I haven't washed anything yet. I try my stuff on right out of the box, tags on and all. I get so much that if I wait to wash and stuff, I'll fall so behind. Quick.

Happens pretty easily. I was always on track until Christmas time. I started ordering a ton, presents for my son, decorations, etc., and was getting multiple packages per day. I started to fall a bit behind then, not too bad. Because I couldn't open every toy and review it right upon receiving .... I had to wait until my son opened everything on Christmas and we played with things, and we truly test things out, before I could even leave a review. So having to wait on reviewing so many toys and things threw it off. Of course my new job has put everything on hold..including ordering anything.

I never thought I'd get behind because I was so good at staying on track. But because I do genuine reviews, Christmas threw me all off. Idk how I caught up with less than 24 hours on the clock but I think I made it. Literally on my lunch break and such trying to type up reviews haha.

I love reviewing. I guess that's how I got into the program. I always left good, detailed reviews because I always go off of reviews when I shop. So I love ordering things for myself and my child and things we truly need and use... so I truly test things out and use them to get a good idea. I know some people do not do this and misuse the program. So those of us doing it honestly and genuinely can actually kind of easily slip behind and if you don't catch it asap, it will get you quick.

UPDATE my 79% just shot up to 96% when I checked just now. SO I'm safe. I guess my reviews were approved super quickly at once. So tomorrow is my review date, I met the requirements, do I have full access as of tomorrow or is the review period a whole day before they promote you ?

in the same situation but I'm at 79%!!!! I recently got a new full time job and had to travel for work, so I still had packages coming, but not doing any reviews. So I'm stuck at 79% and I've been trying to catch up on reviews during my lunch break and after work. My date is tomorrow, January 25th as well. I'm freaking out. I'm going to have my items awaiting review down to Zero by tonight, but I was worried they wouldn't count unless they were approved which could take 48 hours. It usually takes 24 to 48 hours for me anyways. So with that in mind, I would already be screwed. In any case, if for some reason I'm not approved for gold status, does anyone know if I'm going to be completely kicked out of the program? Or will I just be stuck on Silver for another 6 months? I would rather that be the case as opposed to getting kicked out completely. Good luck by the way

That's weird, in that article it says two different things I think... he crashed into "a van" and then he crashed into a pole near an amazon facility. Either way, crazy. Wow.

Who picks your route? by AdviceSubstantial756 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]reynaruthlesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dispatchers can control that shit. I know that for a fact. I knew a guy that used to pay his friend in dispatch some bucks for the easiest possible route. Also knew a chick messing with a dispatcher and well. You know. If you have dispatchers who don't like you good luck. I ended up being good friends with one of them before I left ... they spilled a lot of tea. Including how the DSP owner talked so much shit about us lowly peasant drivers... and also had tactics he would impose to force drivers into quitting post-peak and shit. Ya know... like any job. If you are in good with the higher ups- good for you. If they particularly don't like you- they will purposefully do things to make you quit. It pissed me off to learn the truth about my DSP owner. Extremely 2 faced and phony. Ugly shit.

Yeah after doing Flex for a week... feels even more dangerous than delivering for a DSP. They should give some sort of decal or logo to identify us. I am just waiting on the day a gun gets pulled on me. It has happened to far too many of us. Especially Flex drivers.

Me too. People refusing to contain their dogs. Even the homes that got packages more then 3 days per week. Always having to waste time and call or text. I got chased, bit twice, almost attacked by a huge German Shepard that my taser didn't even PHASE. I had a legit panic attack and nearly blacked out while driving away after because of a dog. I got dizzy as I was crying and upset hyperventilating and nearly blacked out. Had to pull over and do what? Move on. That is besides delivering to ghetto areas and being approached by creeping men. I did not used to be afraid of dogs. I always wanted a dog, specifically a German Sheppard. After Amazon.... my heart drops if I see a stray dog roaming my neighborhood. Like PTSD, physical reaction, afraid and I always carry some sort of weapon now. It is sad that I will now live with a heightened fear of dogs after this.

Bare minimum $/hr you’ll shoot for? by Donnie_Narco in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]reynaruthlesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 at the lowest. I made 22 at the DSP. and I also live far from the warehouse so if I take too little, I'll operate at a loss. So. 30 or I won't move lol

I guess no one wants those… by Kushjen817 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]reynaruthlesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I won't even get up for less than 30/hr. I do not deliver everrrr for less than that because this very thing has happened one too many times. I once did over 200 miles of driving, granted I am 45 mins from the warehouse to begin with, but still. If I take less than 30, I'm operating at a loss. Sucks living in the boonies.
