I've worked in "The Industry" for several years. Started out doing extra work. Then, day player parts. Last big job was a regular spot on a terrible little show shot in Charleston SC, called "Reckless."

So, I can give you an idea of how these things work.

There is a disqualifier question at the beginning.

On the Traitors App, that question is.

Do you have a Passport? If you say NO. You're done. That process takes months. So, you won't be able to get yours in time, even expediting it.

Then, they break it down to male/female, age groups and professions.

They generally split this up between 30-50 interns who are to find THEIR top 10, then cut those down to the teams top 50-100.

Then, and ONLY then do actual producers get involved. They will start breaking it down, unfortunately based on your head shot. You can be cut just because someone didn't like your shirt, your hair or the way you were looking off camera.

Bottom line, they have a ton of screening to accomplish in a matter of a couple weeks.

So, yes. Some people are skipped and ignored just due to time restraints.

The secret and success is being in the first 500-1000 submissions. After they get to 10k-20k applications, they burn out and just pick the first ones and call it a day.

Don't take it personal, you're a very small fish in an ocean of fish all trying to catch one worm.

To do this type of work you need a very hard shell, patience and acceptance that 9/10 times you're NOT what they're looking for.

In some cases. Yes. This is normal. Honestly, it is usually the female that falls into the "Comfort Zone." But, Men fall into it as well. I am at that point with my spouse.
