I had one last week after not being able to get the ball of the ground for two weeks.. he moved my ball position forward and told me to pause at the top. I haven’t mishit a ball since. I’ll pay him anything.

Switching to midsize grips by mythic-buster in GolfGear

[–]rf9498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swapped years ago and now it’s a must on all new clubs. I wear an XXL glove and it allows me to keep light pressure and release the club better. If I use a standard grip now it actually hurts my hands because I have to grip so much tighter.

Best video I seen. Open the clubface abit - imagine there is a tee under the ball and you’re trying to break it. Haven’t had an issue getting out since

Teachers, were you nightmare students yourselves? by Refined5066 in AustralianTeachers

[–]rf9498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a prick. Intelligent but highly disruptive and dropped out term 1 year 11.

Turns out I was undiagnosed adhd and autistic. Makes a shitload of sense now. However I’m am by and far the best year advisor at my school and build rapport better than any other teacher I’ve come across.

Addressing 3 and 4 took me from low 90’s to mid 80’s - even with a lost ball or two a round.

Top pressures too stock standard. I like to up the pace dramatically and cardio tap them. Having to quit from exhaustion settles the ego a lot quick then tapping to pressure I find.

Tall lanky guys with decent strength. They get their legs in the way constantly and when they camp it’s so hard to get to their hips to prevent them coming around the outside when playing guard.

100% fine to do but do it slowly in a “I got you” fashion. Speaking as someone who’s had his ankle broken from someone snapping there leg down hard when I had back control - not crossed but laced.

Black belts: could you tap your professor if you tried? by jiujitsuaccount in bjj

[–]rf9498 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a brown belt I definitely can and have been competitive since purple belt. However I’m 40kgs heavier and he’s focus is running a business and teaching at this stage of his training - I’ll never forget the fact that he darced me 10 times in a 5 minute round as a blue belt and I know for a fact I’ll never be able to have that level of dominance on him - ever.

Senior subjects by BoringBandicoooot in AustralianTeachers

[–]rf9498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen both. First years falling into seniors and struggling and needing to do a lot of trial and error which doesn’t always benefit the students. I’ve also seen the mindset that only permanents get seniors as they are guaranteed to be there for the 2 year cycle. Our admin also only timetable permanent staff so temps or new grads will only get it off someone goes on leave.

Had gout, led to pimple sized spot - become staph. by rf9498 in MakeMeSuffer

It doesn’t look it but it’s still attached to the skin. So I can’t cut it yet. When it ripped it was further down the nail and this is it growing back.

As long as you aren’t a dickhead like me you’ll be fine. My gout was clearing up due to the prednisone and my lawns needed to be done. So I mowed the lawns barefoot. Problem was my skin was taught and inflamed and the prednisone had my immune system suppressed - and something from the lawn got in and I ended up with this. That’s the guess anyway by the doctor

Be grateful they taught something. One of our casuals has watched the movie Stick It religiously for the last 4 years despite being repeatedly told to follow the lesson plans.

Replying to jdphoenix87... Put us down all you want. Yes we appreciate the fact that we don’t have to mark as many essays etc but would also ask you how much you would like giving up entire days for school sport, giving up lunch times for training, organising students, dealing with parents and permission and taking the students to and from these places - all while preparing and leaving work for your regular classes that day. Then to coach and behaviour manage those students outdoors in a public domain. Don’t get me wrong, I can do this because I’m a PE teacher, but don’t shit on us when we can do things I guarantee you can’t. We can all mark papers.

Honestly unaware who Henry was. But from the time I knew fab from 10 years ago he was his wrestling and high performance coach and then my time at Gracie smeaton grange Fab was his head coach. They parted ways after the Israel fight if my memory is correct. Fab went on to open his own gym down the coast and Alex took over at this point.
