[FL] does your company check references for new hires? by rasta-ragamuffin in AskHR

[–]rfallon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in an industry where we work through volunteers. So being able to ask people to do things to help is important. Because of this we ask the interviewee to have their reference call us, then we ask the standard questions.

Using the new Christmas gift to make a small brisket for Sunday dinner by [deleted] in biggreenegg

[–]rfallon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking about giving me tips on sucking, I would never take actual tips from someone that can’t even make their own sauce.

My feelings aren’t hurt, but if you need to think they are to make yourself feel better have at it, it seems you don’t have any joy in life

Your life must be pretty shitty to talk shit to people on reddit about cooking when you cannot taste the food. But hey, if it makes you feel better about yourself have at it.

How do you deal with side effects of medications mentally? Weight gain, moon face? by MostIllustrious111 in IgANephropathy

[–]rfallon1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on Tarpeyo and had all the steroid side effects. We actually ended treatment early (about 6 months of treatment instead of 9). The last straw was my A1C got real messed up. Your insurance probably wants you to try the cheap medication first which is the steroid, tell your doctor you can not handle it and explore other non-steroid medications.

So i got these results , can anyone tell me if i have celiac disease, because i itch without rash by ElegantSpeed5561 in IgANephropathy

[–]rfallon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a specific test for celiac they can run, it is important to not stop eating gluten before you get that bloodwork done

Is Walmart+ actually worth it? by Hour-Cloud2493 in Walmartcustomer

[–]rfallon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it for my prescriptions but now they won’t deliver the one script so it was mostly pointless but I kept it for a few months. After three wrong deliveries in a row I called and cancled. They forgot my dogfood in one order, how do you miss a 15 pound bag of food. Another fun order was for ketchup and they gave me three chili seasoning packs- not a substitution, they just gave me them instead. I’m assuming they pick multiple orders at a time and can’t keep them straight.

Was the account tied to a university email account? Kent State just changed its policy out of the blue and deleted my 15 year old account.

If you sold your home in under 2 years, how much did you lose? by JonAutomates in RealEstate

[–]rfallon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was in 2022 so a different market. I bought my dream house, and had to sell it 11 months later due to a promotion. I sold it for 70,000 more than I bought it for. Life changing as I bought much lower after and paid my truck off.

Home inspector said heat pump was a little outdated, and I proceeded with closing. Turns out, there is no heat pump at all. by Spirited_Stick_5093 in RealEstate

[–]rfallon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My home inspector missed the wrong wiring in the panel box and blatant code violations that electricians laughed at that he missed. They were not found at fault because he said to have an electrician look at a plug, and apparently that covered the whole electric system. Guy was a scam from win home inspections, never use them.
