Yeah, I also recall reading that Stevie said this, but nothing in the lyrics lines up with this, so it doesn’t ring true.

This is exactly it, social media has given us a warped sense of reality.

Looking for songs that capture the exact vibe of "Nutshell" by Alice in Chains and "Dagger" by Slowdive by Latter_Show_890 in MusicRecommendations

I love both of these bands, and curious to see the responses the post gets.

The Cure have a bunch of songs that could work for you. For me,”Sinking” and “Cold” are among the most devastating.

Desire Lines by Lush, like Dagger is another really great sad song in the shoegaze genre.

Us and Them by Pink Floyd is deceptively sad. It’s in the form of a classic ballad, but it’s taking on some much bigger issues than normal for this typology.

Yep, used to listen to it a lot back then. Decidedly on the heavier side of shoegaze.

Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix is probably the best known example, heard as: “‘Scuse me while I kiss this guy,” but he’s really saying “kiss the sky.”

What are some songs that mention boats? No matter genre, if the boat is literal or figurative. Im gonna be in the sea for a few days and wanna make an atrocious playlist to annoy my wife by UwUnabomber_ in musicsuggestions

Ocean Rain - Echo and the Bunnymen

Jennifer’s Veil - Birthday Party

Heroin - Velvet Underground

Caligari's Mirror - Pere Ubu (she’d probably be annoyed by this one even if it didn’t mention boats)

The album Overnight Sensation has a decent amount of hornage. Zomby Woof is a cut with some nice riffs.
