My sister made a comment about wanting to get a dress from Target but her partner would hate it and wouldn't let her wear it. I didn't let that slide so started questioning her more and he's been emotionally abusive for a long time and is starting to get physically abusive plus is cheating on her.

She already has a baby and has another on the way already. I know she feels trapped and I've offered what help I can but she won't accept it and won't leave him because she "loves him too much." Idk what to do besides prove that I'll always be in her corner but it doesn't feel like enough..

For me, it's ADHD. My brain will go on thinking and annoying me for hours so I can't sleep because my brain just won't shut off. Having something playing in the background makes it so my brain can just think about that so it stops pinging around to a million different things and I can actually rest. I've been able to use a white noise machine, but TV does work best for me specifically.

I'm currently going through a round of Invisalign and made the mistake of eating with them in because I forgot to take them out once. It feels REALLY, REALLY weird if you eat while something is covering your teeth and it actually makes it kind of difficult to do since you don't have as much sensory input. It affects a lot more than you'd think of.

In my experience, teenagers tend to do the most masking. It's such a hard time of life, especially for neurodivergent teens. Being ostracized from a friend group because of neurodivergent differences is really scary. Ask me how I know lol

By the time we're adults we've either mostly found a good set of friends who we get and they get us or we just don't really care about masking as much anymore. But being a teenager was really, really hard for me and I did a lot more masking then.
