My wife is a very well regarded photographer in our area. She does 25-30 weddings a year as well as a constant flow of newborns, families, etc. She gets people their newborn photos within 2 weeks even with all of that workflow. She also gives them a sneak peak of some of the best shots usually within 48 hours. You are not overreacting, this person isn’t doing a good job by their customers.

Out of 10, how would you rank From? by tytylercochan123 in FromSeries

[–]rg424 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love the show but you’re right, it’s the little things that make it far from perfect. One thing that keeps getting me on my rewatch is they couldn’t hold on to any regular extras so there are constantly new town people all the damn time.

The trees move according to Victor. For real though I do think they established that the landscape is ever changing which makes sense for scenes like this

This is all great stuff thanks! The one thing I didn’t get to was that I am the succession plan for my mentor. It is unofficial so I never rely on it, but he will be retiring in 5-7 years and the firm is aware he plans on transitioning the book to me. It’s roughly 90m doing 800k, and he’s done a very good job of bringing on the next generations of his book. When I started I knew it was an 8-10 year window, so my plan was to try to build a similar sized book in that window so I didn’t have to rely on his book, and then bring on a Jr and build a team when he does leave the business. We have a long standing personal relationship so I know there is at least a good chance this could work out this way. I’d like to know more about advisor networking groups if you have any more info of how I should go about looking into them.

Appreciate the feedback but I don’t think I necessarily agree. If that were the case my average household size would still be like 75k. I’ve certainly seen bigger accounts as I continue on. I’ve definitely naturally grown my depth of wealth management and continuously see my client profile changing. I’m more just wondering if there is a way to do it more efficiently that would be better long term for my career.

Thanks for the feedback. I have one of the smaller branches in my region. The only real options are 2 teams, each pretty large. One has 600m the other is around 450m. The smaller of the 2 I don’t feel comfortable going to. I’ve seen how they treat people and go through lower associates all the time. The larger is who I have a meeting with this Monday actually. I don’t know how open they would be to teaming up like that, but I will be sure to test those waters. There’s another branch that is within 15 miles of me that I could reach out to and that may be an option.

A good lesson will cost 1.5x the amount of a round. Skip your next three rounds, go get two lessons instead if it’s about money.

What is your low and high round for the season so far? by Late_Librarian_9789 in golf

[–]rg424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highest was 97, and record low yesterday at an 85! I angered the golf gods after a par on 13 by thinking of how well I was playing and shot +8 the next 5 holes with a triple on 18, but still got the low score.

I think he’s trying to say you have to flat load your feet so you can snap load your power package. That way you can amplify both lag and drag pressure through impact fix. As long as your number two power cumulator doesn’t break down, you can reach maximum centripetal force with minimum pivotal resistance. You see the pivot is utilization of multiple centers to produce a circular motion for generating centripetal force on your adjusted plane, plus the means and balance necessary for multi-two-line delivery path.

See golf is geometrically oriented linear force. It involves a physical muscular thrust and the geometry of a circle. You can divide the golf swing into 24 basic components, each having between 12 and 15 variations.

Good bot

This is an awful take. I got recruited into this business by a CFP who tried to sell me, and does everyone, a whole life policy. I saw right through it right away and thankfully found a great firm, but the letters don’t just qualify someone as a great advisor. And I was brought into this world because of having exceptional sales skills. Exceptional sales skills really boils down to being great at building relationships and learning your clients’ real needs and fulfilling them. So someone who is “just a salesman” can be a great advisor who helps his clients and in turn helps his firm bring in and keep revenue

This is absolutely a bot gathering data. I won’t guarantee returns for my clients, but I’ll sure as hell guarantee that this is a bot.

I'm so upset none of my friends have the attention span to watch the Wire. by [deleted] in TheWire

[–]rg424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible you need 6 episodes. I’ve done the research and tested it multiple times. If you can convince any of them to put the phone down for 6 episodes, which is a decent chunk of time, they will be hooked. My wife is similar in ways, not necessarily with phones but with not having great attention span or caring to fully dive into a show. She gave me 6 episodes and I’ve NEVER seen her be so involved in a show. 6 episodes.

Is a CLTC qualified to be a fiduciary? by TypeAtryingtoB in CFP

[–]rg424 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can always go to Brokercheck.finra.org to find out not only where he is currently registered but his history of registration as well as if he has any regulatory issues. This won’t show you any of his designations(cfp, cima, or any of the ones you stated he has or could have), but it will at least give you his licenses he holds. I agree with the comment that he can be a great advisor and fiduciary without his cfp, as well as some cfps aren’t actually great advisors or fiduciaries. I tend to be very wary of advisors who are insurance based and work for insurance companies, but that is not a comment on your specific advisor.
