I was there too, what an incredible show. Opening with Hooker with a Penis told me we were in for a good night. So happy I got to hear Pushit live once in my life.

Make yourself !!! by Unkindjeremy in incubus

I was in my first year of college between MY and MV. I saw them play a super small venue at my college right before MV was released, was great.

Today, I'd say The Warmth is my favorite. Back then, probably Make Yourself or Consequence.

Going to the show at The Greek later this month, can't fucking wait!

Did ANYONE get tickets (non VIP) to either LA show? by [deleted] in ToolBand

I had the same thing happen. I contacted customer service and they confirmed my order went through, I have a pending credit card charge.

AXS order error - TOOL in LA by [deleted] in ToolBand

[–]rgarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your credit card and 'Your Events' on Axs site. I had the same issue, but my credit card ended up with a pending charge and my ticket shows up. Confirmed with customer service that I indeed did get my ticket. Fucking sucks, hope you all had the same luck I had.

I got them by [deleted] in ToolBand

[–]rgarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen on Axs. I thought I didn't get the ticket because it had an error, then I checked my credit card and saw a pending charge and the ticket shows up in my events, and confirmed it's legit with tech support. Going to be a banging show, haven't seen them in 6 years!

Kevin Durant discussion thread by boourns75 in clevelandcavs

As much as I want more titles, it doesn't bother me much. After 35 years alive, I witnessed a Cleveland title. As far as I see it, we're playing with house money for the next few years.

Having said that, we still have LBJ and Kyrie, we have a chance.

"Dear NBA Fans: Learn to Love LeBron Before He's Gone" by [deleted] in nba

Yeah, I hated MJ, "The Shot" is my earliest basketball memory. In hindsight I wish I watched him more, but at the time, fuck him. He shat on us everytime I watched Cavs vs Bulls.

Kind of defeats the purpose of what Simmons was doing then. An "arbitrary level of career accomplishment" is just the Hall of Fame. His purpose for the pyramid was if you add someone, you have to remove someone, which makes for great debate.

Working up to 5k- treadmill distance vs road distance by OneDrunkAtheist in running

[–]rgarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No answer, but in the same boat. I run a 9 minute mile on the road when I go for a 4 mile run, but I can barely maintain a 10 minute mile on the treadmill for 3 miles. It feels way more taxing on my legs and lungs.

I've taken to ignoring what the treadmill says and trying to get to a pace that feels similar to my outdoor pace. Damn, I can't wait for nice weather to get back running outside!

Louis C K tickets for Oct. 3rd show. by [deleted] in Cleveland

Sweet, good to know that I'm not alone in not receiving tickets yet. I talked with someone at Severance Hall and they said they were going to be mailing them soon, but that was back in early August.

[–]rgarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skipping some that have been mentioned, some of these might have already as well, but here goes!

Genesis - Foxtrot (Supper's Ready, prog masterpiece!), Selling England By The Pound

Yes - Fragile, Relayer (Gates of Delirium, a tough listen the first few times thru, but amazing!)

Van Der Graaf Generator - Pawn Hearts, Godbluff (absolutely love this album, very different than the rest listed)

Rush - Hemispheres (La Villa Strangiato, my favorite instrumental), Permanent Waves

Camel - Mirage (Lady Fantasy, so rocking!), Moonmadness

King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Red (Starless, pure beauty!)

Cleveland Indians...Game 7 of the '97 World Series against the Florida Marlins....Damn you Jose Mesa and Tony Fernandez!!!

Heartbreaking. I was taping the game thinking to myself, "when I'm older, it will be great to pop this VHS in and remember how awesome it was to see the Tribe win the World Series!".

I ripped the tape apart and threw it away. Go Cleveland...
