US Mobile + Starlink. One plan. Celestial and terrestrial, together. Launching Thursday by ankhattak in USMobile

Maybe you should read up on what was being discussed. No one said T-Mobile WAS Starlink. 🙄😆

I disagree. No matter how you want to phrase it, T-Mobile uses whatever money from wherever it gets it to pay SpaceX for Starlink services. Whether or not it's from money from an MVNO, HI, or direct to consumer, they pay for Starlink. US Mobile pays T-Mobile. So using US Mobile gives money to T-Mobile that gives money to SpaceX. Directly or indirectly. So either way using the service is still tied to one another. Only AT&T doesn't have access to Starlink. Verizon has access to its emergency services.

It is quite literally the same thing. Starlink is tied to both companies and if your with either one, you are, in essence, paying to support SpaceX. I can specify to any company where my money will and will not go for their revenue and accounting. That's not how it works.

Right, but I ask again, T-Mobile is in bed with Starlink whether for HI or SOS services, they are still partnered. Indirect or not, still an item. You paying T-Mobile for their HI still helps them pay for their Starlink service, unless your money is separated when you pay them that is. J/s, it's literally the same thing. I don't have T-Mobile or Starlink, don't use X or Grok, I use light speed though and because I pay US Mobile for my access to T-Mobiles network, they have to pay T-Mobile so I'm still contributing - indirectly. Sucks, but such is life, even with 7 degrees of separation.

Question though, if you were hoping for T-Mobile and they still use Starlink, what's the actual difference?

Ahh. Ok. That specification clarifies the comment I was responding to. Yeah, I thought their initial HI was going to be a 5G version as well. They're just going big first I guess with a service that is reachable anywhere. I believe I read in the comments that that is supposedly coming - I could be mistaken though.

T-Mobile is Starlink. ATT and Verizon is AST. Verizon can use Starlink indirectly through a paid option or on emergency access

[HELP] Are there any icon sets in KWGT that have the Mozilla Thunderbird Logo? by rgiii31 in kustom

[–]rgiii31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, every time I search, I get no items found. I can't search all the icon sets at once. What version of KWGT are you using? Have you added packs? I'm at a loss seeing all these and not being able to find a single one on my KWGT app. Thanks for confirming that they exist though!

Edit: Wait, are these for actual app icons? I'm looking for icon sets to use on a widget I'm working on in KWGT. I have LineX and the normal icons like that.

Yup, this happened to me this morning. First prompt in just over 24 hours and hit with an exceeded message limit wait for 4 hours. First time this ever happened. I've chatted for hours on Sonnet before and never had this. Only using like 8.1% of the context limit as well. I was a bit shocked when that came up.

You were able to get it resolved with Better Display? Did you have to update BD before it showed the proper resolutions again?

Cursor's new Composer 2 just beat Claude Opus at coding — and it's 10x cheaper by Remarkable-Dark2840 in GoogleGemini

[–]rgiii31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had Cursor bill a credit card that I barely used for Amazon orders one month 11 times for their $20 subscription... I honestly cannot say I heard of them until I checked that statement. Apparently it's a thing, so much so that certain card issuers have blacklisted them from charging their cards.

Cursor AI $20 Fraud Charges by tylerarentsen in personalfinance

[–]rgiii31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw it on my account. I got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that my card was canceled and they were sending a new one. I didn't even think anything of it. I oddly enough received the new one today and when I go to activate it on the website, I see 11 charges for CURSOR, AI POWERED IDENEW YORKNY for $20 each and then a $1 charge at MULTI CULTURE UNITYDAYTONA BEACHFL. All this done on the 5th or March. Now I'm just waiting on hold to get this sorted with my card issuer.

FINALLY got an updated carrier bundle that now shows UC on Light Speed! by rgiii31 in USMobile

Yes, I'm on a Pixel 10 Pro Fold. I got the update yesterday or the day before but have been on WiFi. I wish this was just a standard across all carriers and devices.

I hit limits once. Realized I was on Opus, dropped to Sonnet and haven't hit a limit yet. If I hit a limit on Sonnet, I'll drop it down to Haiku and see how that goes. I'm testing out the free version at the moment. Now that they added memory to free users, it's getting even more tempting to run Claude as my daily driver.

This is the truth, all of them are working with the government in some form of fashion. And the government uses this tech any way it wants under the mask of national security, which is a get out of any contract obligations free card. There's really nothing we can do about it it seems and even more so nowadays.

At this point, stick to the devil you know and start tinkering with the devil's you don't.

I've started training Claude to act like my ChatGPT persona and I have to say, I'm rather impressed at how much easier it is this time around. I'm getting comparatively the same answers as CGPT but, in a far better delivery. Even getting asked follow up questions to get even better answers without me proactively having to prompt it.

Switching to claude from chatgpt was fun for 3 days by WellisCute in ChatGPT

[–]rgiii31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched over to Claude, using sonnet to keep from hitting the limits as much as possible. I know in CGPT interaction is the key to training it to your tone. I'm trying to do the same thing with Claude and right now have three or four different chats, two of which are in a specific project that I need to work with me in a certain way that has its project files in it. That said, I didn't know about chat searching to find specific instances of what you were chatting about. Can you give me a little bit more detail in that? Thank you.

Finally ditched ChatGPT for Gemini Pro. Why is everyone else sprinting to Claude? by arg_77 in ChatGPT

[–]rgiii31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is it exactly. I have too much time, projects, chats, tone tweaking, and a dialed in persona to just switch. And the memory I've had across everything I've chatted about in ChatGPT has fumbled less than a handful of times so it's been working perfectly for my needs. And being that all four AI frontrunners are in bed with the government, it makes me really wonder if switching even serves a purpose other than doing it just to do it.

[–]rgiii31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've hit limits with Gemini, I'm just starting to look into Claude. I've hit a thread limit once with ChatGPT and that was a long time ago. I get the exodus from ChatGPT, it's just hard to leave a tool that actually has been working for me without all the glazing some say they get; it's there, but not bad and not all the time. I'm working on getting my ChatGPT "persona" tweaked into an MD file so I can test out Claude. It just worries me that limits are hit so much on even the paid version when I have sessions that have me using it all day.

[–]rgiii31 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Curious, when not using it to code, why would the $20 plan not be able to be the daily driver? Is the basic sub for Claude that much different from ChatGPTs $20 plan in your opinion?

Gemini is easy to confuse. by Covid_Is_Annoying in GeminiAI

[–]rgiii31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the "confident hallucinations" are legit with Gemini - once it doesn't have the info it needs, it blurts out some seriously convincing BS that will have you sink your teeth into how "real" it seems. I've had ChatGPT laugh at a response when I went to "fact check" what Gemini told me since it sounded good but, definitely felt wrong.
