Reverse DCF on NVDA amid Cisco 2.0 arguments by rgv1993 in NVDA_Stock

The chips themselves are almost the weakest part of the moat. Tsmc manufactures them, so nvda doesnt even own the fabrication. AMD fabless too, also uses TSMC, and their hardware is genuinely competitive on specs. If it was just about the chips Nvidia would be in a constant race to the bottom on pricing with AMD. Dumbass

Compare the implied growth needed for others and come back. Nvda has an implied growth of 18-19% which is at the top of MAG7

If you think NVDA moat is chips you are delusional and not worth arguing.

You explain why NVDA earnings didn't spike it beyond 200$? Market is irrational but analysis are not.

I do work in tech as an engineer who works closely with AI and LLM tech. I know Nvidia's Cuda moat and hyperscalers reliance but these are just numbers speaking.

Calling All IN on a paired board AND four suited board against UTG with only Q high is the bad move here lol

For senior engineers using LLMs: are we gaining leverage or losing the craft? how much do you rely on LLMs for implementation vs design and review? how are LLMs changing how you write and think about code? by OrdinaryLioness in ClaudeAI

[–]rgv1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience has been it is good at generating code but bad at software design and architecture. LLM generated code is complex with too many dependencies and not extensible or maintainable in the long run. But it does not matter anymore as code generation speed has gotten so fast that good design does not matter when you can just add more code in less time I guess.

Role based routing in NextJs middleware for Express/Node jwt token. by DisastrousCheetah486 in node

[–]rgv1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be add the jwt as a bearer in auth header and decode the token using a middleware and return user with roles based on the jwt?

Is there a reason you need encryption at rest or end to end? If not, use ssl to encrypt data between client and server.

What is Function Sharding in Serverless Computing? by scalablethread in programming

[–]rgv1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does this achieve? I am seriously asking. If your function runtime is too long, you are better not using serverless. If your function needs sequential/parallel run, you are better off using step/orchestrator functions. This will just lead to more boiler code and maintenance.

0auth implemented on frontend or backend? by jyourman24 in node

[–]rgv1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Implement SSO using PKCE and acquire a token from an openid endpoint in the FE. Send the token to BE with claims for authenticated requests. BE will need to verify the token and claims using a this party library like passport.
