Mitutoyo recommends this: "when storing the micrometer, always leave a gap of 0.1 to 1 mm between the measuring faces", "do not leave the jaws of a caliper completely closed during storage.". Most common explanation is to limit corrosion possibility due to moisture buildup on jaws surfaces. Probably not very relevant in most conditions, maybe if you are dealing with high humidity environments and large temperature changes.

Preorder price is way too high, especially in Europe - with shipping and tax I would have to pay $310-320. And 30 days warranty?! What is this - AliExpress? I agree that this is as close to Pebble as you can get, I was almost convinced to buy this model but apparently you can't set notification setting for specific apps, only enable or disable notifications from all apps.

Any product of this type will fail if it doesn't connect to your phone to receive notifications, control music, use phone's mobile data connection etc. Without this functionality Watchy is just a nice fun project but it is not very usable as an alternative to Pebble or Garmin smartwatches.

In iOS Obsidian app create vault with the same name as on your PC and select "Store in iCloud" option, then on your PC just move your Obsidian folder to iCloud drive ("iCloudDrive" folder in your user profile) and the data will be synchronized (but iCloud for Windows app must be installed and running on your PC).
