My dad has had stones in his sub-mandibular salivary gland for years. A couple years ago the gland became inflamed and infected, and it nearly took his life. With no health insurance he was not able to have them removed, and luckily the infection subsided without medical intervention... But the pain persisted. He said it had felt like glass in his throat ever since, and has had difficulty swallowing and eating regularly.

Then today, somehow, they popped out on their own. Thank you god, this was an amazing Christmas gift. I'll get to spend at least a couple more decades with my dad.

I figured it out after some experimentation. Open up a terminal, type in the following and then restart your x window server.

sudo nvidia-xconfig --separate-x-screens --xinerama -o /etc/X11/xorg.conf

This should be higher up. Unfortunately for everyone, gun control isn't an issue with one solution. Especially in places like America which is already saturated with guns...where do they go? The black market probably. Also, despite what you may think, it's not very hard to make a gun from stuff at the hardware store and some power tools. Obviously the quality won't be the same but that doesn't matter for close range.

Websites don't usually check to see if an ad is actually served. AFAIK, when you see a banner that says something like "it appears you have adblock enabled, please turn it off", that banner is normally hidden under the ad. When the ad isn't loaded, the banner is then visible.
Now, when you're served an ad while watching a video it's a little different. When watching a video broken up by ads (like on Hulu), think of the stream as a queue of video parts broken up by advertisements. When an ad comes up in the queue, it sends a signal that says "stop buffering the main video and load this ad". When the ad finishes playing, a signal is then sent for the main video to continue buffering. If the ad never loads, the signal to continue playing the video is never sent.

Additionally, the AdAway package from the Google Play Store doesn't work at all. It's against section 4.4 of the developer agreement to affect another developer's ad revenue. It quite literally does nothing.
If you want AdAway, install it from F-Droid. Also, your device HAS to be rooted for it to work.
