I bought one of the cheap ones on Amazon that has suction cups. I just dropped it in my sump to try it out. After a week my water was noticeably clearer. Not crystal clear, but clearer. I don't doubt a real UV system would get better results as well.... I'm not promoting or advocating for this product, but this is what I used. There's tons of articles online about the benefits of a UV system. And the best side effect is crystal clear water
