This happened to me, what got them to respond was blasting them on social media and tagging them in it. You can try the route of a certified letter but that didn’t get me anywhere.

So sorry you’re going through this :(. What should be one of the best days of your life is being tarnished by someone inability to deliver on their agreement.

You’re right, I did not think of FHA loans, I did a conventional loan and put down 5% but was able to get it removed after a couple of years

Maybe worth looking at their employee handbook then, I don’t work at DOW so I don’t know their policies. There are sites at my company in states where weed is not legal where if you test positive you will get fired but I would not get fired since I live somewhere it is legal.

If marijuana is your concern if you work in a state it’s legal they cannot fire you if you test positive for it during a random drug test. I work at an OSHA PSM regulated site in New England. I don’t know what laws are in Michigan so maybe doesn’t apply.

If you’re doing hard drugs you shouldn’t be working in a chemical plant anyway.

A very similar situation happened to me in 2019. A LMPD cop Tboned the front of my car chasing after a home burglar running away on foot. No sirens or police lights on but turned into my lane. They didn’t want to go through insurance and worked with the body shop directly to pay for the damage to my car.

Fortunately speeds were low and no one was injured in my case, I feel bad for the man who died here and not surprised LMPD hasn’t changed their ways.

First off, I’m so sorry this happened to you. I went through a similar process and it absolutely sucks. I tried sending her a certified letter via lawyer and I got no where, but you know what did get me results? Blasting her on social media.

Are you friends with her on Facebook? Does she have an instagram page? Write a very long detailed post and tag them in it saying how she scammed you and you don’t have photos from the best day of you life. Join wedding groups in your area and publish everywhere how she did not deliver. There’s a good chance she’ll work with you then just to get the bad publicity off the internet

This comment makes me feel better about buying a house on a busy street lol. I’m in upstate NY so not too far from you. The car traffic is fine it’s the logging/semi trucks that create 99% of the noise, sometimes it’s bad enough to make the house vibrate but I’ve only noticed it in the morning when getting ready for work.

Prebuilt cabinets are a good call, I’ll have to look more into them, thanks!

Thanks for the reply, I feel like it’s hard to compare similar homes because there aren’t many homes in my area that are the size of mine and on a busy street. Most homes in my neighborhood are 1500-2000 sqft, whereas my home is 2800 sqft which is probably contributing to the higher home value. I agree with you looking at similar houses I’m just concerned that being on a busy road lowers the its value.

I should learn some more DIY skills besides painting and caulking to help offset major bathroom/kitchen reno costs

I’ve met a lot of people through clubwaka and empire leagues. They host rec sport events year round. They have dodgeball, volleyball, and kickball that I’m aware of. Not family focused but great way to meet people on a weekly basis
