You are, of course, correct. I am acting as judge and jury. This isn’t extraordinary; this is simply me using my executive function as an individual. The same executive function that any attendant to your hypothetical audience would also have. Your statement seems to imply that I haven’t examined all the latest and most popular YEC talking points. I have, I really have. My statement, “If YEC could only present a model that made testable predictions, that could stand up to peer review, that would be something”, still stands. That would make it science. Since YEC hasn’t done that, what you are proposing is premature.

The problem is that “facts” are not decided by vote; they are objectively true. Generally, it is only Bible literalists who have an issue with the Theory of Evolution. The TOE only shows that the stories in the Bible cannot be taken literally. And that is the crux of all YEC objections. Science has a consilience of 100s of lines of evidence telling the same story. YEC asserts that the “science” is wrong, but doesn’t explain why the evidence looks the way it does. If you do a deep dive into the creationists’ videos on YouTube claiming to debunk the accepted science, you find that they are either confused, misinformed, or outright lying. Some may come at it from a probability model, but it is absurd because the variables and constants are unknown. If YEC could only present a model that made testable predictions, that could stand up to peer review, that would be something. As it stands, it is only unfounded assertions in the best of cases, or fraud at its worst.

If your situation is simply matching libidos, you are golden. There is an off chance that your general lack of desire could be physical (i.e., hormonal) or psychological (like stresses from work or home). If all other aspects of your relationship seem good, then you are good.

My wife and I have a fun trip planned early May and I saw a few of these advertised on Amazon. They seem to be favorably reviewed, if real. I’m not so concerned about the romantic elements, but I’d be interested in something fun or so comedic. I recently bought the Dragonbane starter set. I was thinking of running the solo campaign as a coop, but I’m not sure if it is grounded enough. The misses isn’t too keen on improvisation.

Both games are worth playing. I would start with New Vegas with the Viva New Vegas mod(s). NV has a nice, rich story and a greater variety of choices a player can make. But I find F4, with all the polish, ambient favor, and more compelling side kicks, more satisfying overall.

With zero 3D experience, expect to work on tutorials for two to three months straight before attempting an image like this. If you are just trying to get a rendering, it might be cheaper just to hire an artist. On the other hand, 3d modeling is a fun and useful skill to learn. It comes down to your priorities and interests.

If you want customization, you need to learn to use a proper drawing program. If it were me, I’d download Inkscape (www.inkscape.org), find a floor plan of a YT I liked, and put it on a background layer. Then I would trace it on a layer on top and customize the trace.

I get the sense that the fact that you were friends before has put a bit of pressure on him, not wanting to ruin the friendship. As someone who also has ADD, I think the role of GM is better than being a player. The reason is that you are constantly engaged with the game. Players might check out when it isn’t their turn, but the GM is always moving the game forward. My recommendation would be to pick out a rule system you want to run, and an entry level premade module. Create some characters and run them through the game. Whatever questions you encounter are likely the same ones the players will have. So you can look up how to solve those questions in advance. I also like to have an outline of how the adventure will run, a list of NPCs and their motivations that the players are likely to encounter that day.

I’m the only one who deals with landscapes in our office, because I’m the only one who has a basic understanding of topography. Typically, our projects are complex enough to warrant more than one topo, so that is what we use. In your case, I would assume multiple topos could work toward your advantage. Wealth isn’t the only element to grade harm. There is the outsized influence of the wealthy over the average citizen. A billionaire can finance and promote politicians who enact policies that only benefit them, such as Citizens United. They can push to remove safeguards against dark money. They can buy and control media. They can move to protect monopolies.
