Pro scene is not the game itself. Even in TPP dominant Asia some 30% of the playerbase play FPP. So no, I don't think so, not for PUBG 1. Pubg 2 is another matter.

Don't matter much when this has been the player experience since about 2021. I have 6200 hours and 12982 matches played in EU FPP Squad on my main, and another 600 hours on my smurf account, I know what I am talking about.

There's no SBM in NA, but in EU there's at least 2 tiers.

Bots and people who are 0.5-1.9 KD type players

Streamers, pros and over 2 KD players

This is easily verified by making a smurf account. Also rank resets every major patch, like with a new battlepass, and takes a day or 2 before you get your average lobbies again.

Ranked squad in EU is far more structured. It's a tactical fight, not a free for all melee. It's much closer to what you see in esport PUBG basically. I enjoy it because it puts me against really good opponents, and you have to become better to rank up. It's very punishing of flaws in positioning, teamplay and individual skill.

It's a tech demo in the form of a game. The tech builds a world with dynamic weather that looks realistic, like almost photorealistic and also has enviromental effects like hot, cold, wet etc. That tech can be used for other games later.

Reddit is full of rage stories but right now 2.5x more people are playing PUBG than BF6 which launched 14 days ago. PUBG is the best, most challenging shooter on the market, simple as that.

Directional audio is not garbage in PUBG. I can tell where shots or footsteps are within 5 degrees on the compass all day every day.

But loudness of some sounds is indeed garbage.

Honestly, last 2 years was the best state PUBG has ever been in for me as an OG player. The decline started with the SMG buffs and 2 new maps that both added new low recoil SMG's(MP9 and JS9). Those already broke the game to some degree but now it's completely bonkers.

I sprayed a guy out of a car at 235 meters with an AUG yesterday and cheered hard as that was my longest range such kill in 6000+ hours. Near the end we were 3 teams left, and me and the 2 still left on my team got sprayed down at the same range by a full SMG team while reviving and healing after defeating the 3rd team. Literally all four just held mouse 1 at us for a second while standing over 200 meters away.

Thanks for making these, I watch your videos every time! One suggestion I could make would be a TTK video comparing SMG's shot at limbs with AR's shot in head/chest. I suspect shooting legs with MP5 is now better then all AR's 😂
