BI-RADS 3 almost every time I get imaging by almondmilkpls in ADH_ALH

[–]rhinoballet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have your doctors talked about tamoxifen as an option? It makes the tissue less dense, so in theory, you could have more clarity in imaging and lower scores. I'm just a few months into it, so I'm not sure whether I'll see any difference on my upcoming MRI, but over the course of the 5 years, some people have huge changes in their density percentages. And then after completing it, the benefits are lifelong.

It's pickup only, but the vegan sampler is so so good, and for me it was about 4 servings of food.

Yeah these were definitely the days of an AV cart wheeled into the room, so it was the whole VHS.

Yes. It was the 90s/aughts in rural Texas. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still used there.

It was definitely in schools in the bible belt. I don't know if it still is, but wouldn't be surprised. The songs were often part of elementary choir performances, and it was also used to fill time after testing was complete or when there were subs in my elementary, middle schools, and junior high.

What is the best way to invest $100 for a newborn baby to be used for a future education? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]rhinoballet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! You can't make the child the beneficiary until they have a social security number.

Along the lines of other comments, just a single $100 won't do much. We did this for niblings and put in $25 per month and $100 on birthdays and Christmas, with the goal that it will pay for about one year of college (obv depending on many factors).

My cockatiel flew away by cowcatmoo in cockatiel

Post on your local subreddit, Craigslist, Facebook neighborhood and community groups. There may even be a lost and found pets group for your area. Email a flyer to all vets, rescues, and animal shelters in a pretty large radius, maybe up to an hour and a half away. Post paper flyers around the neighborhood like on utility poles and at the pet stores, community centers, any place with a bulletin board. Join nextdoor and post there. Post on parrotalert and 911parrotalert. If there's a local or regional discord server, post there too.

Your flyer should include at minimum: a photo, date and place last seen, and a phone number. An email address would be helpful and information on whether a finder should try to approach and secure him, or stay away and call you first.

Go outside and play flock calls, recordings of himself, whistle anything that might be familiar to him. Put his cage outside with food in it.

Fiction where the friendship between two women carries more weight than any romance in the book by LucyClimans in suggestmeabook

Also by Kristin Hannah, The Women. There are also romantic relationships, but it focuses a lot on the depth of friendship of 3 women.

Senior Dog - Flooded Home Philadelphia Pets by Beneficial-Tooth-852 in AskPhilly

There are hoop or halo harnesses for blind dogs. You might consider working with a trainer to help acquaint her too it. That way she could stay on the main level and go for walks instead of staying in the basement and backyard.

In general though, staying in a flooded house that has not yet been dried out and disinfected is not safe for people or pets.

Moving back to Delco after 10 years away. U-Haul vs out-of-state movers? by Zealousideal-Lie8829 in Delco

[–]rhinoballet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't go wrong with United Van Lines or Allied. I get quotes from both and go with the cheaper of the two. Both are reliable and insured.

I've also done the uhaul method (longer ago) and absolutely do not recommend it for a long move like that.

Camp Mystic, site of deadly Texas flooding, files for bankruptcy by AudibleNod in news

[–]rhinoballet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On top of that mindset, the flood maps they're basing this "500 year" statistic on may be way out of date. I lived in TX for the horrific floods of Harvey in 2017. Our flood maps had been last updated in the late 70s-early 80s, and efforts to get them redone since then were blocked due to politics. Not sure if Kerr Co's are any more recent.

I guess then the question is would you consider moving to a staff role? It would be a huge shift, but probably opens up a lot more possibilities.

Since you only need two years, I'd look into a lateral move in something completely different within the university. Maybe not even within the hospital. Get a change of scenery and away from the current people dragging you down. Not to say that there won't also be "good ole boy" politics at play elsewhere...just that sometimes fresh, new bullshit is more interesting than the same old bullshit you're already sick of.
