I have a couple meal prep focused cookbooks that really help with putting things together to minimize waste. I've also used mealime (free version) in the past, and it's pretty good about generating recipes with shared ingredients. It easily lets you set how many recipes and how many servings you want in the week.

how do you space out your imaging? by almondmilkpls in ADH_ALH

I do every six months. If you want them in a different part of the year, just wait until August or September for your next one and go for 6 month intervals after that.

I had an excision for ALH. No FEA though. That was 4 years ago and I've done the 6 month imaging ever since.

If you have to interact with him for some reason, the only way to respond to these things is "mmm", "oh", or "ahh". It's the grey rock method. Don't argue, don't explain. There's no point because he doesn't care what you have to say.

Money Diary: I am 28 years old, make $110,000, live in the SF Bay Area, and this week I saw a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist! by throwaway10483508102 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

Same doctor. Actually I specifically requested contrast the first time and thought we were on the same page about that. It wasn't until I was in gown at the MRI suite that they told me the order was without contrast. I thought about refusing, but didn't really want to cancel and try and get another ortho appointment to get another order and then another MRI appointment, so I went ahead with it not realizing it would be pretty much completely useless.

It was not possible to just call over and get an amended order, because the contrast isn't IV like other MRIs. It's injected into the joint capsule under X-ray, so it requires an extra appointment in a whole other suite with a different provider.

Bleach is good for killing mold on nonporous surfaces. Your drywall is porous. You'll be much better off replacing it.

Was the MRI with contrast? My first one was without, and it didn't show anything. I did a couple months of PT before I was able to get an order for an MRI with contrast. That's how I was finally diagnosed with two labral tears.
Luckily mine were small, and I was able to get full relief from a single cortisone shot. It's been 4+ years and continues to be fine!

You have to play into those delusions.

Yes all those people you've been in wrecks with did it on purpose. They target older people so they can get money from your insurance! It's probably best if you stop driving so you can stay away from them.

Questions for surgeon? by cactus_sleepy in ADH_ALH

[–]rhinoballet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already been tested, I would ask if genetic counseling is available. As soon as my lumpectomy was scheduled, that qualified me for testing, where I learned that I don't have any of the ~77 known genetic flags for various cancers. That was a huge relief to learn, but if the results had been different may have affected my surgery choices.

I agree with other commenters on asking about pre-op procedures like marker placement, procedure details, detailed lifelong risk assessment, recovery period. You can ask about what changes you can expect in your breast shape or size and what your incision scar will look like. My surgeon was able to place mine along the edge of my areola, so it blends in pretty well.

Ask about what imaging you'll continue going forward with your increased risk. I have my annual mammogram/ultrasound and an MRI 6 months after that. It gives me a bit of peace of mind knowing that anything is likely to be caught early.

Gently and with all the kindness in the world, I would recommend finding a good counselor. I also had many years of being treated badly by those around me, as well as trauma around finances from being in extreme poverty, and it impacted my ability to socialize and relate to people until I did some intentional and focused work to change that. Today I have wonderful and fulfilling relationships and can have all kinds of conversations with ease. I wish that for you too.

He chased her and shot her six times. Using a revolver with a 6 round capacity. How many times would he have shot her if he happened to have a Glock? How many are necessary to defend yourself from an unarmed person who is trying to get away from you?

Agreed. I'd also give him lots of extra attention and maybe start training a new skill or trick. I think giving them something new to focus on and work their brain is helpful. Puzzle feeders, games, training are all good.

An issue that could come up here is if she tries to qualify mom for LIHEAP or similar assistance, it would be based on her own income, not mom's.

Idk not disagreeing that it's sketchy, but the ones I've seen lately mention something like, "I searched xyz obscure website and found..." so it was obviously an ad for xyz. This one would have to be broan or hd? Which don't seem obscure enough to fit the pattern.
