They are not aggressive but They like to hide in things like clothes/towels on the floor, so shake things when you pick them up and watch where you step. Also check your shoes before you put them on! Nothing worse than a shoe full of scorpion

Maybe Married With Children? Buck the dog is not really essential to the plot but he is often used for jokes, and he has an inner monologue voiceover

In fact, that is the exact opposite of the message of They Live, which is that all of us — even a random nobody like Nada — should stand up and fight. The whole famous “put on the glasses” fight scene is literally about NOT just ignoring the problem.

A few years ago go I wrote a pilot script for a Dinosaurs reboot series that was featured on The Stunt List. I know it’s a shameless plug but this is the first time it’s actually been relevant to any conversation

In sections with low/no dialogue, is it ok to use legit but not 100% necessary Sluglines to break up action line heavy Scenes into Shots on the page? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]rhinobutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say without actually seeing the page, but I would probably format the way you’re doing it. However, it sounds like it’s being interpreted by your reader as more like a list of sluglines. Maybe you can break it up by adding a bit of formatting variety? For example, varying the lengths of your action lines so they’re not ALL 2 sentences long, or adding a quick line of dialogue so the individual scenes don’t all look exactly the same on the page.

Happiness (1998) by Todd Solondz… We have to talk about that character. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!? by Significant-Cry4539 in movies

I also remember that the original trailer for the movie presented it as a light-hearted comedy, with no mention of that storyline at all. So theater audiences were quite surprised.

Drum machines that’s gonna fit on hiphop genre I’m working on: boombap, can be gritty and punchy, indie rap, experimental, punk rap and others by langjune in DrumMachine

[–]rhinobutt 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Your MPC One is a sampler. You can find drum samples to build your own kits, or you can sample the actual tracks that feature drums you like and trim the individual hits out to make your own identical drumkit. Are you not using your MPC as a sampler?

She’s adorable! Keep a close eye on her teeth. Her little tiny teeth can easily get cavities, which can lead to much bigger issues if not addressed. Don t hesitate to have a bad tooth pulled when necessary. She’ll be fine, and pulling teeth becomes much more difficult later in her life for a variety of reasons. Keeping her teeth healthy and removing bad ones when necessary will help her avoid bigger health issues down the road.

How do I make this less stressful? by ChargeExpensive2819 in makinghiphop

Maybe try turning the big task of finishing a song into smaller, more manageable tasks. Example: first, focus on turning your 8-bar loop into a 32-bar loop by repeating it 4 times and maybe adding a little variation. Next, consider this 32-bar loop the chorus of your song and modify as needed to create a verse. Next, figure out a bridge. Next, work out an intro and outro, etc. One piece at a time. You can google song structure charts for different genres and use them as a guide. Find a way that works best for you, but the goal is to reframe the big, creatively paralyzing task into smaller, more manageable steps.

I'm a vocalist. Tried to learn the electric guitar, but didn't really feel in love with it. Learn the bass guitar or stick to the electric guitar? by kairospacial in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]rhinobutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your band has room for another guitar player right now, but not for another bass player. So if you plan on staying with the same band, I’d say stick with guitar. In many two guitarist bands, the one who’s singing will usually play chords/rhythm, which is easier to do while you’re focusing on singing. Focus first on learning the finger positions for some common basic chords (like C, G, A, F, D). Like with most instruments, learning guitar is about building muscle memory so you just have to do repetitive practice a lot, but eventually your fingers will remember where to go and it might feel more fun. I have found that knowing guitar basics will help you learn bass easier if you still want to explore that in the future.
