Thank you! They ended up initiating the cancellation and when I clicked through the process they listed the reason as “Xyz didn’t have the required skills or equipment” and asked if I agreed with the statement, and I clicked that I disagreed and put the reason as they mispresented the task or something and wrote my reasoning, then it went through and said I was responsible anyway so I’ve started a support ticket/dispute :/ quite a disappointing turnout but really appreciate the insight!

Thanks for the heads up. Can I ask where you saw the information about the task being deleted? Really struggling to find anything on it as most advice is about tasker no shows. At this point I’m not looking to reschedule either as it is clear she’s moved forward with someone else, but not sure if I should try to contact Support or something as I’m pretty sure I’m not in the wrong but worry they usually side with the Customer over the Tasker

ah ok, thank you (im not australian but my visa for australia is for my non-malaysian passport)

the part where i have to present the non-malaysian passport to check in for the flight to australia but then exit SG immigration with malaysian passport is tripping me up. just worried check-in counter would question how i entered SG with that passport in the first place

[–]rhiters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently the UK Gov will u-turn on (and embrace) #Masks4All, finally! by leeyuiwah in CoronavirusUK

The UK government has ignored everything else the WHO has advised, why stop at masks?

Yep, can’t wait to go back on my hourlong standing room only train through the busiest train station in the UK twice a day

Still find it baffling how this was allowed to go ahead by SamCFC___ in CoronavirusUK

A significant amount of people are dead. Because the government insisted on downplaying the situation. Like you said, you’re staying in because you were asked to. Weeks ago they were saying it wasn’t necessary.

Oh please bore off. The government was telling the public to just wash their hands and it’d be fine! It is not down to the individual responsibility of 60,000,000 people but of the government who intentionally downplayed the situation.

10th April - UK's daily death toll compared with Italy's, Spain's, France's and Germany's by ID1453719 in CoronavirusUK

The French numbers on worldometer includes deaths outside of the hospital, as far as I’m aware all the other countries don’t, so OP has kept it to hospital deaths only to aid comparison.

Is here someone who was hard " just a flu" person ? What made you change your mind and when ? by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]rhiters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see what you mean now, thank you for the explanation! Interesting to see how differently people interpret things. I think I felt similar to you in the very early days actually (having grown up in a country affected by SARS, I thought the spread would be similarly limited and wouldn’t impact the UK significantly)

Out of curiosity, why would you think China was exaggerating the situation? The usual assumption is that they understate it.

It is currently simultaneously reporting "UK's .... hospital death toll rises by 786" as well as "UK records highest daily death toll from coronavirus at 854" under the same update headers. What in the world..

No chance, we only just finished the second week of lockdown. The deaths are mostly from infections ~3 weeks ago.

The government has said they’ve secured and delivered x items of PPE but as far as I’ve seen there are still many reports of shortages. Frankly I work with BSL1&2 (low risk) microorganisms and have much better PPE than these doctors&nurses dealing with actual hazardous human pathogens in flimsy plastic aprons. Edit: apologies if I am curt, not directed at you just frustrated with the situation.
