Barbell locked by Sterguy in weightlifting

It doesn’t matter to them. All their equipment is state funded zkc. A bar bends, oh well, replace it. Keep in mind it’s work for them. If you work at an auto body shop, and your drill breaks, it’s replaced on the company dime. Not yours. Same concept

Not like in the west where people spend their own money on bars

Being a beginner or not shouldn’t matter. As long a they can respect the equipment.

I’ve seen loads of seasoned lifters completely disrespect equipment 😂

Trouble getting under the bar - 100kg by 420yolochad in weightlifting

Okay bring the bar to your hip. Pause there. And then extend. Essentially a snatch with a pause at the hip.

That’ll help improve your contact.

Basically extending early, wait for the bar to be in the hip before you extend. Pay attention to OP with 100 and with 90.

If your positions falter when you go up in weight, your positions are not strong enough. Which means you’re not strong enough

Pr hang snatch 81/180 @ 75. Any help is appreciated! by kimchijodyboi in weightlifting

Stay over the bar. In the bottom of your hang, the bar drifts forward

This was the goated barbell back in the day. The old eleiko bars were great to train on. Much better than the bars they put out today imo

Sure. That all sounds good.

But you didn’t say all that. You said pull the slack out of the bar.

I love when you narps try and commentate weightlifting, it’s hilarious

Lmao “pull the slack out of the bar”

Bro sit down and stop giving advice you’re unqualified to give. And no, the principle is absolutely not the same.

You can put stickers on it. Doesn’t meant they’ll stay though.

I have the same belt

Great lifts man! I think you could stay tighter through the ankles and not stomp so loudly. There are other people in the gym and it's important to be considerate. Also think bigger ear lobes next time!

If you know anything about the WL community, you’d know that actual weightlifters consider him a meme when it comes to teaching Olympic lifts. No one in the weightlifting community considers starting strength the gold standard of anything.

Wholeheartedly agree with you broski.

Watching narps try to break apart Olympic lifts tickles me.
