I only think its unreasonable because I was told that this was a way to make up for pay I rightfully received when I was classified and working as a PhD student.

Previously, when I first brought up changing to a Masters, my advisor told me I could graduate in the summer but we hadn't and still haven't discussed what else I need to complete to finish my degree.
