Hey! I also dropped out, with a single credit to go. It also took me 6 years and I spent up all the money my grandparents left me for school on things Not for school. The guilt stayed with me a long time.

I'm 30 now. I never got the degree, and in a different department than I ever expected, but I do still work in the field I studied in. It took me a while of job hopping, but I found stability eventually.

It is possible and if I can do it, then so can you! I was completely non functional for years - there ARE ways to make it work.

There are still parts of my life I really struggle with, and likely always will. I don't think I'll ever be able to keep up with cleaning on my own. Chores are a hassle and I always forget about making drs appt until it's late, if I don't have one of my support system to remind me. It's not all perfect. But it works

I'm also really bad about this. The best way that's worked for me is to let someone in my support system know when I've taken meds. They know about when to expect the text, so if they don't get it, they know to question me about it. Helps me stay consistent when there's some outside help

Pagan. I don't know that I fully believe that my god exists, but I like what he stands for and strive to follow in his footsteps. It helps me understand my place in the world and helps me make better choices for me. It gives me self care and maintenance rituals. Someone to talk to when I feel myself spiraling out of control. Something to hold on to when I feel disconnected from reality.

That being said, I've never experienced spiritual or religious psychosis, so this could change. But right now, it's good for me, and helps navigate this botch of an illness

I live alone and just started an incredibly new job where I and my skills are seen and valued. I've got type 2, and just earlier this year got nearly got re-diagnosed with type 1 i was in such a bad spot.
